From the minute we walked into the Inn we had a positive experience. Darren was friendly, cordial, and made us feel right at home! He was very informative and professional also. Our room was exceptional, and the woman that cleaned our room was friendly and professional. The complimentary breakfast was excellent and we liked how each morning there was a different choice for the main dish. The wine and cheese social every night was fun too. Being in a rather compact area of the city, the Meeting Street Inn had a beautiful outside area too, enjoyed the music while sitting at the tables in the gardens and enjoying coffee each day. We would definitely book the Meeting Street Inn the next time we are back in Charleston.

We liked it all.

This location is perfect for walking around Charleston. We didn't need the car at all! The rooms were nice and clean. The only issue was the height of the bed but there was a set of steps to get onto it. The room we had would not be good for someone with issues related to steps. There is an elevator to get you to the 2nd floor but again the bed is quite high. The bed added to the charm of the room. The manager and the staff were so nice and made us feel welcomed. They were available to answer all the questions we had and we enjoyed the breakfast and evening snacks provided.

I have nothing to say that would be any impact or negative issues.

There were several things we enjoyed at the Meeting Street Inn. For us, it's a great location for shopping. We like walking through the Market area and around King Street. The inn is perfectly located for that. We enjoyed staying in the vintage hotel room and thought the wine and cheese in the afternoon was a really nice touch. Lastly, there are many great restaurant options close by. I should also mention that the hotel staff was very friendly throughout our stay. We will stay there again.

I wish the self-parking lot was closer. The 2 block walk is not bad, and parking spaces were available. But it rained one day going sightseeing. Good thing with packed a large umbrella.

The location was amazing! Within walking distance to all of the great shops on King Street and near many fabulous restaurants that you can also walk to, like 82 Queen and Poogan's Porch as well as several great restaurants on East Bay! Our room was perfect as well! The bathroom looks brand new and the beds were very comfortable. The staff were also very kind and accommodating!

The only thing that we had any trouble with were the vending machines. They did not work when we were there.

Breakfast was good-nice selection of of cereal, bagels, muffins, fresh fruit and omelets or French toast when we were there. Beautiful courtyard to eat in. Lovely view of the courtyard from our balcony. Location was amazing-across from the City Market and easy to get everywhere. Loved the decor and super comfortable beds. Didn’t attend the wine and cheese event but seemed to be popular.

Price was a bit steep-room was very nice but a microwave would have been nice. Still comparable to others for the area.

We loved the atmosphere: music, water, and the fountain in the courtyard. Breakfast was very plentiful. Wine reception was a nice touch before dinner. The canopy beds were lovely AND comfortable! Staff was very friendly and helpful! Location was perfect!

We would have appreciated newer sink and shower fixtures. The shower knobs were mismatched and also moldy. Some new “vintage-looking fixtures would add a final touch of nostalgia. Also the baseboards and corners in the bathroom were very dusty. We pay close attention to details. Mild complaint so do not let that deter you from staying here! Only mentioned bc this asks to say what you didn’t like. Some ppl would have overlooked those minor details.

The location was great. We were able to walk to most places any time of day because we felt safe.

The hvac unit did not work so we were moved at 9:00 pm the first day. The TV cable did not work in second room but the HVAC did so we kept quiet. We understand that winter is a time to update, but perhaps things should have been checked out better before someone was put in the rooms. We brought it to the attention of the manager the next day and they made it right with us. So, we would try again.

Liked the courtyard area for sitting and enjoying. Enjoyed the happy hour in the lobby at 5pm-very well supplied for this with wine, lemonade, fruits, cheeses and crackers. Breakfast was also provided and it too was very good. The front desk and food prep workers were very nice, helpful and did a great job.

The courtyard could have had more plantings along the wall vs mulch. It is a great place to make the property more beautiful. Parking could have been closer.

The front desk person who checked us in was Darren, and he was most helpful and very friendly - made us feel welcome as soon as we walked into the lobby. The wine/cheese party at 5 pm is a very nice touch, as is the cookies/milk time in the evening.

The position of the television relative to the four-post bed made is difficult to watch from either of the leather chairs in the room. A bed post was always in the way.

Staff was exceptional. Rooms clean, bathrooms with new tile very clean. Complementary wine and cheese from 5-6 pm was wonderful!!

Better explanation on website with a courtyard view I thought I may be on the second floor with a courtyard view but it was on the main floor walking out into a narrow courtyard without a view as the window small next to the bed. No view
