Best Western Rock Hill

The property is very well maintained with nice decor, the room was exceptionally comfortable and very clean, the staff gives great customer service.

I did not like that there is no security on the property. My very first night has some very unreasonable and excessively loud guest a few rooms down from me on the third floor. The front desk clerk could hear them all the way by the front door on the first floor. She made multiple attempts to quite them down but the were not complicate and just got louder. She has no back up other than calling the police.

The the overnight employee and the second shift employee . the first shift employ need more customer service training she came across as rude and dismissing to your concerns.

The first shift employee need more customer service training she came across as rude and dismissing to your concerns. all of your cleaning staff claim they didn't speak or understand English 100% which I find hard to believe they should know the minimum amount of English such as their names. It came across as they did not want to do more than they wanted too. However I feel the owners really don't care they already had their money . Staff would not even give you clean towels on top of not cleaning the room your entire stay eve when ask because spilt coffee on the bed nor did they give us the sheets to change ourselves. I would not stay again I like clean towel and bed sheets.

The staff was pleasant and the check in process was quick. The additional fees for the pet were reasonable.

The carpeting is wearing inside the room and in the hallway. The rear security door needs some attention since it appears to broken and the scanners don't work as efficiently as they should. The Fitness room needs some repair with some weights missing and equipment broken. I have stayed at this particular hotel several times in the last 5 years because of it's location. but it continues to show increased signs of significant wear and damage.

Breakfast was fresh. It had everything except a prepared fruit medley option in addition to whole bananas, apples, and oranges. Eggs, sausage, cereals, juices, breads, and coffee were all good. The location and price were both good. The staff members were friendly and helpful. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and well equipped.

Some updates are needed. Carpets are a bit dingy. Some furniture items need to be re-upholstered or replaced. The surrounding properties aren’t as well kept, making the area seem a little sketchy as you drive in. One of our rooms had an air unit that was difficult to control and a bit noisy.

I booked two king size rooms to be connecting. When we got there I was informed that they didn’t take cats we had our cat with us. It was explained to the Expedia agent when we booked our rooms that we had a cat. The web site for this BW in Rick Hill indicated it was Pet Friendly. Nothing was said or written at the time I booked the rooms. My Granddayghter was driving from New Jersey and we drove from Florida to pick up a cat that was surrendered by a previous owner. My Graddaughtet tried to get into her room before we got there. She was told no cats by the front desk plus she was told she needed a credit card for incidentals expenses that might occur during our stay(1night only) Well that was never mentioned at the time I booked two rooms and paid for them. The hotel front desk worked with us and we finally got too our rooms. I would suggest that the web site be adjusted to indicate that No Cats Allowed. We are Best Western Rewards holders and I find this all too much. I would appreciate you looking into this and making the necessary corrections. Thank you. Anita Kjallberg

The staff were wonderful, friendly and helpful. Our room was extremely clean, comfortable and well stocked. We didn't eat breakfast but it smelled delicious and other travelers were really enjoying it.

The neighborhood was a little scary even in the daytime. People walking around everywhere some were asking for money and food. The side door was unlocked at all times even though it said you needed a motel key card to enter. There were a lot of police presence.

Liked the fact that all entrances to the rooms were located inside, versus what I saw of the surrounding hotels. Breakfast was good and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Also, there were plenty of restaurants nearby.

Didn't like being assigned a room next to the stairwell. As soon as he gave me the keycard, I had my family wait in the lobby while I went to check the room. As I suspected, it was next to the exit stairwell. I came back down to the desk and asked for a different room, to which they provided me with no problem. Here's the reason: A few years ago in New Orleans, I had a room next to the exit staircase and, in the wee hours of the morning, there was a knock on the door. Told them you've got the wrong room. They knocked again. I warned them that I was armed, and they went away. Since then, in 90% of the hotels I've stayed, they've attempted to give me a room near the exit door. Didn't mention my race, did I? Beware!

The staff was AMAZING!!! Very friendly, helpful, and even shared a few laughs with them!!! No complaints there! The room was very nice and CLEAN! Bathrooms were clean! The breakfast was better than expected! The hotel location was close and convenient to stores. My sons and I had a great time!

The trip would’ve been perfect if there was a pool! But I booked, knowing there was not. I wish there was one more laundry room or another washer and dryer. Some people are inconsiderate and think it’s appropriate to leave their clothes in the machine all day! But not not the hotels fault.

Easy access from highway. Comfortable bed and shower were great. Seems recently updated as the room was very modern and well lit. Breakfast was very good, hot and plentiful!

Advertised as " pet friendly" for a fee. Doesn't state in booking site that it is friendly ONLY to dogs ! I resent hotels that discriminate against cats and other domestic animals! Should be clearly stated!

I had a little problem about rules and regulations at the hotel bc it’s not showing on Booking.com but Front Desk Clerk Monique was EXCEPTIONALLY HELPFUL at explaining to me what’s accepted and what’s not. Staying at Best Western! I love the location and I never had any problems with anyone or anything. I also love the fact that BW is only 10 minutes away from Ebenezer Park which is BEAUTIFUL… The room was VERY VERY clean and smelled so good that I wished I knew the cleaning products housekeeping used!! I didn’t make it to breakfast bc I was OUT sleep!🤣 But I was told it was delicious! It was peaceful and quiet for it be busy on a Sunday! And the most important thing was how Monique made you feel at home letting me know if I needed anything to please let her know. If you ever stay at Best Western Rock Hill I hope you all get a chance to meet Monique!! PLEASE DO NOT give her a hard time bc she’s the most SWEETEST person you ever want to meet and she will take care of you while a guest at BW! Thank You Monique 🙏🏾
