Quality Inn Walterboro

It looks like your basic (and possibly crappy) budget hotel from the outside. But on the inside they've redone the carpet and the decor is clean and modern. Nice big room, soft sheets, very clean, and the price was incredibly reasonable for what you get. I just finished a Florida road trip and so many of these types of hotels are overcharging for what they are. For 88 bucks with tax I got a fantastic, quiet, and clean room. Can't beat that. I'm not someone who stays at budget hotels for the breakfast and don't really understand why people care so much about this facet of their stays. I mean if you want a snazzy hotel breakfast, go pay another hundred or two hundred bucks across the street and you'll get a round sausage and some eggs and maybe pancakes, and you can enjoy a leisurely, restaurant-quality breakfast. Or, you could stay at a budget hotel and have some cereal and a banana, and then spend three bucks at McDonald's to get a sausage biscuit. I would rather do the latter and save myself the dough.

It was fine. I'm not going to parse apart aspects of this stay in order to fully fill out this review.

The room was clean!

The bed was not comfortable. One of the beds when you got in and out sounded like it was going to fall apart! The shower drain was real slow! The bathroom door was hard to open and close due to the swelling at the bottom of the door. Freezer had something old in it, there was frost all around the item!

clean, comfortable, right off the interstate. nice stay for the price!

the check in staff was very unprofessional. she was rude and gave us issues with checking in. she had a baby she was holding that was screaming and crying the whole time during check in. we had to relocate rooms as the first rooms toilet did not flush and again we experienced attitude from the front desk clerk.

perfect off/ on stop along 95. there was a gas station and Cracker Barrel right there. the A/C worked well. the room looked like it was recently remodeled and did not have an odor to it. I would stop here again on my way to Florida

the free breakfast should just be stopped until they get it running to normal. they should state complimentary juice, coffee, yogurt, and muffin. the floor would be better if it wasn’t carpet. I’m not sure if it was new and made a bad design choice or they didn’t change that during a remodel. it didn’t feel the cleanest on my feet. also the sheets had dog hair on them. my husband said it could have been caught in the sheets from the wash. we have dogs, that sometimes happens to us. it was late, I was tired, so I just accepted I might be sleeping on a remade bed or clean sheets with dog hair

The breakfast was ok, nice selection. it was warm & replenished often. The beds were comfortable.

In the breakfast room, the seating was odd, the chairs were too tall or the tables were too low for eating; you had to reach does for your food & were towering over the table. Not sure who or what it was, but upon entering vestibule, the smell of cologne was overwhelming. Not sure if it was that or air freshener or cologne, but it was sickening.

Breakfast was OK. It was close to Cracker Barrel restaurant. Close to Walterboro. Grounds were well kept. Try Fat Jacks restaurant, you won't be disappointed. Like Italian? Carmine's restaurant in old downtown is great.

I got no complaints.

Breakfast had reasonable choices, it offered more than just pastries and carbs. Offering peanut butter, breakfast sandwiches and cream cheese is a plus.

Room smelled off…. Sort of sweet, kind of like tobacco. We travel with febreze spray so it was an easy fix.

Property is very well maintained as well as my room!!! Comfy beds!!!! Nice options for breakfast....Front Desk was very courteous and my room is very clean and santizied!! Great location right off interstate....

Not many food delivery options..However front desk was very accommodating on local restaurants....

Everything worked. Nothing broken. Room in good repair. AC quiet.

I expected a room with 2 beds to be queen size, not full. Online photos of breakfast room showing scrambled eggs and sausage. Not offered. Expected better for the price.

We stayed there on our way to Florida! Location was awesome right of the exit ! Lady at the check in was nice and helpful . Room was clean bed’s comfortable and price was awesome! Breakfast was included and it was ok! We would stay again !
