Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Walterboro

Typical compared to other Microtels I have stayed at. Rooms were clean and maintained. Staff was pleasant. Location is far enough off the freeway and main road so that car noise is not an issue. Not too far from the freeway exit. Plenty of well-lit parking spaces. Positive experience for the price ($97 after taxes/fees).

Odd rule sheet I had to sign before I could check in, forbidding in-person checkouts and other odd rules. As usual for Microtel, neighbor noise can be an issue.

After fighting heavy traffic coming from FL this was a nice find. Older but clean and half the price of the Hampton Inn across the street. We booked two rooms (one handicapped) and the desk clerk managed to get us an adjacent room to the handicapped room. There was no upcharge for the handicapped room. Breakfast was available and looked ok but we went next door to the Cracker Barrel.

We were on the 2nd floor and it sounded like the room above us was dragging furniture at night. It looked like remodeling going on and we wondered if folks were working. Couldn’t get the coffee pot open to add water. I expected the handicapped room to have a walk in shower as pictured but instead it had hand rails and a plastic seat. It met our needs but wasn’t what I expected.

Location. Girl at desk when we arrived was personable. We had an issue with heater and she resolved it.

We always get a handicapped room, and usually the same exact room. This time it did not look like it had been cleaned very well. The rug looks like it’s not vacuumed very well (or better yet replaced)The shower floor tile was nasty. The continental breakfast could be better. Some of the staff at the front desk are not very personable.

Easy off, easy on highway. Property is lovely! Rooms very spacious, clean and so comfortable!! Lots of hot water for showers, nice breakfast served in morning. Staff..especially Whitney and Harry were incredibly nice and more than accommodating. Would absolutely stay again!

Everything was very good.

This always a clean property. It’s super convenient, right off I-95 and is my go to stop when traveling that way.

THIS stay the front staff made me with the 20 minutes until the 1500 check in. It was 20 minutes and I was exhausted.

Room was clean and well equipped. Just an overnight stay on our way to vacation. Convenient walking distance to Cracker Barrel. Breakfast was very accomadating. Hotel staff was very courteous and helpful.

The rooms are clean and comfortable. Good location.

We booked a pet room and when we got there they said they were out of pet rooms. Then we were charged $30 more because they had to put us in a regular room with a pet. They also charge the same amount as they did when they had a continental breakfast. I do like the hotel, it is clean, but I just feel like there attitudes are "it is what it is". Definitely need work on customer service.

This was a very nice & clean pet friendly hotel. We booked a room with two qeen beds for the four of us. It was oerfect to get off the road after a long day to get a good night sleep.

The out of date Covid restrictions: All common areas closed. So no pool, no dining area, brealfast must be eaten in room.

Clean, easy access off of 95. Staff were great!! Our car broke down and put us several hours behind schedule. I called the hotel to make them aware of our late arrival. No issues with check-in.

The property had incredible staff. They were so nice to my son. It was also rather cozy in the room. They had thought of everything I would need for a 3 night stay.

There was a disability stool in my room that almost fell apart when I sat on it. I only weight 160lbs. There were also various wear and tear stains in the bathroom. Nothing off putting but there nonetheless.
