Crowne Plaza Memphis Downtown, an IHG Hotel

Friendly staff and shuttle drivers. Buffet very nice. Close to downtown.

Water leaking from ceiling of Room 724 and commode had a problem flushing. Thought water was getting on toilet seat from commode flushing and we didn’t realize it until 2days later that water was dripping from ceiling bad from room above us and then the toilet was about to overflow in Room 724. We were given another room. On Monday 5-8-2023 there was no breakfast buffet which was fine, but Crowne Plaza Memphis had only one person seating guest, taking orders, cleaning tables, bringing out food and ringing sales. Waited 1 hour to be served. It was way too much for one person to handle alone and no one came out to help her. A buffet would have been more manageable for one person.

Hotel beds are usually lumpy or generally uncomfortable or you have to triple up the pillows to make one. That was not the case here. The bed was VERY comfortable, I slept like a rock. The pillow were exceptional!

I could hear everything in my neighbor's room. EV-ER-Y-THING. Yes, even using the bathroom. ew. I was there for a conference and was supposed to receive Conference rates but was charged full price.

The hotel and hotel room was clean.

The hotel needs some updating and renovating. the ceiling was peeling a little and the corners and edges around the floor and heater weren’t sealed completely. I checked in late and the woman at the desk I was a little skeptical if she worked for the hotel because she was wearing plain clothes and not a uniform or name tag that let me know she worked there. For the distance from Beale St and everything else the room rate could’ve been cheaper.

Rooms were Excellent and nice and clean....Modern too Free shuttle was fantastic! Drivers and staff excellent Free lemon and fruit water in lobby was perfect.! Gym was Great!.. Pool too! Close to downtown Memphis Across from Elvis' Lauderdale Apt..Wow

We enjoyed our stay. Our room was very clean, the bed and pillows was very comfortable. The staff was very nice and professional. It was a great location and a great price. The hotel is nonsmoking and I am a smoker and they had a covered patio with chairs for people to be able to go out to smoke under and I was thankful for that because it rained alot when we was in Memphis that night. All said and done I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

I have only one complaint about the stay. We paid to park our car in a secure parking lot and we had to use our room key to get into the gate but the out gate remained open the entire time which people was able to drive in and out of it anytime that felt like they wanted too. So I don't feel like it was very secure. So what was the purpose of having to pay for a secure parking lot when it wasn't secure.

Customer service, cleanliness of the hotel and beautiful room. The king size bed was very comfortable and the atmosphere was very relaxing. Very happy the hotel offered pet friendly option! Everyone was so nice and recommended best restaurants for ribs! Beale street is quite a few blocks away but close enough for a nice stroll to admire the architecture to and from the hotel! Thank you for a great time Memphis!

We missed breakfast because it was over by 8:30 am and we are accustomed to a later timeframe in the morning at hotels (6:30-10:00 am).However, being the ongoing pandemic, it was good to know there was an option of “to go” breakfasts.

The hotel was lovely. The staff especially the shuttle drivers was helpful, knowledgeable, caring.

Breakfast was very expensive. In order to not pay 20 for breakfast one had to take shuttle because there were no alternatives nearby

The outdoor pool, the staff particularly Reginald the shuttle bus driver, the location.

Would prefer more regular housekeeping rather than having it upon request. Also, bigger bath towels.

All but one staff member were helpful friendly and knowledgeable! One of them could use a course on customer service! Pool was great. Bartender and restaurant manager made the night’s fun!!

Cigarette disposal was 3 ft high and jammed packed it hasn’t been changed out or emptied in a very long time.. garbage in parking lot was overflowing and never emptied in the three days stay..
