Best Western Plus Gen X Inn

Staff was super cool, especially the ladies in the morning. Very nice and professional. They had a little breakfast area which was cool. The orange juice was a let down but you know how it goes.

I know this is going to be super weird but the curtain would no go down all the way. There was about a 3 or 4 inch gap, but the ol throw pillow on the bed made it an easy fix. The orange juice was booboo but I didn't expect much of it. However with those two "issues" I was pleased with the experience. 9/10 would recommend. The orange juice, well orange drank really had me in my feelings. Was bummed out about it. Memphis was pretty cool though.

Breakfast wasn't wonderful, but realize Covid limited our choices. We were given a handicap room, which was very nice. However, if we WERE handicapped or any older, we couldn't have stayed there. The bed was WAY too high. I'm 5'1" and could hardly get up in it, my elderly parents could not have. You need to install a bar on the wall to hang on to getting in and out of the shower, and the toilet was WAY too low for a disabled person to get on and off. With 2 knee replacements, it was difficult for me. Otherwise, a great place to stay.

The carpet was dirty. We would get out of off the shower with clean feet and they would get dirty after we walked on the carpet.

My room was clean (as best as it can for a BWestern). The staff were very approachable and communicative. Parking was safe and free, and they make breakfast in the morning!

I found a j*zz stain on the bed skirt: it wouldn't have been noticeable from a normal glance, but I tend to scan the entire room for flaws before I put my bags down. It didn't bother me so strongly as it's a hotel room and that stuff happens, lol. Slightly overpriced for a BW though.

Breakfast was cleared at 820 each morning and breakfast ran till 9am - although we got down to breakfast at 8am so it was not such a problem for us - people came after to find half gone back in pantry- very poor and the staff were not sociable at all and was on their mobiles so it felt as if we were interrupting them

Hot breakfast was pretty dang good. Nice comfortable room, good air conditioner to help with the Memphis humidity. Location was super easy to get to with ample convenient parking.

The desk in the room was nice, but the little rolling desk chair was just awful. Too low to the ground, and if you're over 150lb it's too small & the sides dig into your hips. Ended up working on my laptop in bed instead, which was disappointing.

Ebony was just wonderful! She was helpful, friendly, and went above and beyond. I had to call the front desk because I could not find the TV remote. Ebony came to my room to bring me a spare remote, but first she looked behind me and searched in most every place imagineable. She finally found it sitting on top of the closet!

The only reason I did not rate this place is a 10 is because I was not able to have guests randomly come to my room w/out my having to go down to greet them and let them in. Granted, overall, this is a PLUS, as it provides security, but it's not terribly convenient for having a guest.

I loved how big and spacious the rooms were and also how close we were to downtown. This made every thing easy to get to. Did not really try the breakfast although my husband and brother in law enjoyed it.

Did not like the fact that I could smell the contraband that other guests were smoking in there rooms whenever you entered the hall. Did not like that at all.

the beds were comfortable and the room was clean. there was a problem with the bedside lights but this fixed that evening by TJ who was very helpful.

breakfast not as good as other hotels we used and replacement food was slow and tables not cleaned.

The location was OK with easy access to downtown. The room was a good size and very comfortable.

Breakfast was very limited and the staff were removing breakfast items 15-20 minutes before 9:00am, which was when breakfast was scheduled until. Had to be up very early if you did not want to be rushed for breakfast.
