Hotel San Jose

The location was perfect - right by all the cool shops in SOCO! The design of the hotel itself was perfect. Maybe I'm biased because it's exactly my vibe, but the minimal design with the emphasis of lots of greenery, trees, etc. was gorgeous. Lots of natural lighting in the rooms. I LOVE when a hotel actually focuses on things that matter. A super comfy bed and amazing bath products... felt healthier just staying here. Super sweet and informative staff, gave me tons of recs for cool vintage shops.

I thought everything was perfect. Honestly I think the only thing was that I was in the only room that's directly on Congress street - but that's just because I had to be up at 4am to catch a flight.

the location is exceptional and perfect for me when visiting family. the bar are is super fun and very popular.

the closet was a joke. it was only half length so you cannot hang long items and there was only one small drawer, part of which was taken up by the hairdryer. what was an attempt to be hip was basically a useless waste of space. there is no where to unpack your clothes or toiletries. fortunately I had two beds so used the other as my closet.

This place is cool when the temps are hot. the shaded gravel walkways, the cool concrete floors, the minimal Scandinavian-feel furnishings, the pared down, yet luxe comfort aesthetic — right across the street from the Continental Club, one of the hottest spots in Austin and Amy’s ice cream, some of the best ice cream anywhere. Super friendly, attentive staff. lovely lounge. comfy outdoor seating and pool area. truly first-rate!

no coffee maker in the room. no breakfast room service available Mon-Wed.

The location was excellent and the staff was great. I had left some items in my room and they sent it to my home. Thank you!

The hotel has a very good balance of style and comfort, at a relatively low cost. For those who prefer something hip and casual but very clean, calm and with its own personality.

Ask for a room away from the road. This can be a little noisy and you will have to keep your blinds drawn or the passersby will be able to see inside.

Location was excellent. Parking was excellent. Had a nice time sitting by the pool.

Limited maid service - had to ask for clean towels and toilet paper. The bathtub did not have a mat - slippery older designed tub - may want to consider a mat or something to prevent potential falls for the future.

Great property. Within walking distance to lots of great restaurants.

Not a high-rise hotel. Close parking and ease of use.

Room 20 sits right on noisy South Congress so you will not get any sleep.

The property and room were fantastic

the bed was a bit springy and slid on the frame a bunch, plus finding outlets close to the table or one side of the bed was tough.
