Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Dallas Downtown

Hotel was very clean. Check-in and Check-out was easy, fast, and smooth. Receptionist were very professional, nice, and helpful. The rooms and bathrooms were very spacious and big. Had most amenities needed. Located close by a lot of top places/areas downtown. Lots of restaurants and convenient stores nearby. 20-25 mins from DFW airport. Gym was clean and nice. Pool side had music and decent vibes. Offered complimentary breakfast although Valet system was set up pretty smoothly and easy. Overall great stay and would recommend and stay again!!

Didn't offer much parking so had to Valet for $30 a night. Hotel does have a parking area but its for Valet cars. There was some street parking with meters available to pay but not many spots (maybe 7 - 10 cars max). I would have liked a microwave in my room. Other than that I had really no issues with the property.

I will say the staff at the front desk went above and beyond for us. I was traveling with my special needs brother and we arrived a bit earlier then check in time. We were going to just ask to store our bags until check in. Heather and the other lady working the front said if they had rooms available we could check in. I will say that made all the difference in the world. We were able to get a quick nap in. I know my brother luvs it the room was big and very cool in the Texas heat. We will def stop back soon. Not sure how their only a 2 or 3 star hotel. Customer serv goes a long way for me.

Only complaint would be no microwave in the room

The location was key for proximity to the state fair. The breakfast was okay(eggs watery). The room was clean but the bedding did not smell fresh and one comforter had a red stain on the inside. Kudos to the valet staff.

The gentleman at the first desk wasn't very helpful and didn't provide all the details I needed. Unfortunately, I was having issues with my card so I decided to go to the bank to transfer cash and I asked for the total amount for the room. Knowing my situation he gave me the total without tax. I had to uber multiple times even though he could've helped save me the trip.

The valet parking was good. The room was spaces. The staffing people were really great and nice. I like there breakfast choices they had. Had good little store to buy drinks.

The room wasn't cold enough. The stand up shower was small. The breakfast was OK the eggs were a little runny and needed to be cook longer. Didn't like the hard floors needs carpet. Also better cleaning i saw trash cans outside people doors and wasn't being picked up.

I like the size of the room it was very nice and comfortable.

There should be a microwave in the room, in the bathroom, there should be hand soap on the sink. It would be nice to have a hair dryer in the bathroom and more towels in the bathroom. There was also a missing towel rod in the bathroom it seems to have been broken. Online the seating area appears to be a couch and there was only a chair and a table, the rooms are large so if not a couch at least two chairs would be better.

There are no other options for parking besides the valet service they have. The valet attendant working the morning of my check out (01/31/2022) damaged my vehicles ignition/push start system. When you get into the car it displays instructions on how to start the vehicle. Instead of following those instructions, this gentleman stuck I don’t even know what into my ignition attempting to turn and start it. When I saw him having trouble I walked to my car and got in to a message that read “DAMAGED KEY IGNITION.” I had to call where I bought the vehicle and ask how to manually start it and take it to a dealership to fix the push start button before I could make my 2.5 hour drive home. SO parking at the hotel ultimately cost me $519.99.

Rooms were spacious, beds were comfy and the AC worked amazing. Plenty of outlets to charge devices was nice.

Asked for more pillows and towels a couple of times and they never arrived, which was kind of sad. The shower curtains were also hung too high to where they didnt go past the tub, meaning water got all over the floor.

The hotel was good for a short stay - comfortable bed, spacious room, desk space, good tv services, a functional gym etc. I also really appreciated being able to check-in early as my flight was in the morning.

Although the location was downtown, it wasn't right in the centre of things, it's in a bit of a strange area and I didn't feel super comfortable walking from there on my own, even though it was only a 10minute walk to main street. I think if you had a car or were with someone else you would be fine with it. The breakfast was also pretty mediocre...but it always is in hotels! Finally the pool is located on the ground floor and is surrounded by tall buildings so it didn't get much sun.
