Holiday Inn Express & Suites El Paso Airport, an IHG Hotel

It was a typical holiday in express. I prefer them.

The staff checking us in were not good. Very slow and had no idea what they were doing. They were irritated that the rooms were booked through booking.com and were less than helpful. I wouldn’t stay there again just because of that.

Cedric, our front desk agent, was a true gem! He was so nice and upbeat as my family and I asked a lot of questions about the area (at 7:00 am, no less), and stocked us up on breakfast items for our group of 7. It's such a challenge to exist in this changing world of social distancing, but we all agreed, if we could've given Cedric a big hug to say thank you, we would. Please pass along our sincere notes of gratitude!! Thank you, Cedric. Also, beds were comfortable and soft, there was great water pressure in the shower, and the hotel is located right off the I-10, close to restaurants. There's an outdoor pool and a gym, but we didn't try either out.

The sofa bed had some crumbs on the mattress once opened up. And I had to call to have sheets and blankets brought up for the bed. It would've been nice if they were already in the room. But, customer service was exceptionally polite and fast with our request. I believe her name was Jenny. Also, the website still states hot breakfast (omelets, pancake station, breakfast meats), but it's actually continental, due to Covid. Good selection: yogurt, fruit cups, pastries, muffins, granola bars, cereal, milk, juice, coffee.

Although the hot breakfast was limited, the woman who served it was very sweet and accommodating. The location was very central to everything and only 5 min to the airport.

Our room was directly above the entrance of the hotel and for 2 nights in a row we were awoken at 3am by a group of people blasting music from their vehicle and singing loudly. They were parked in the entrance so I'm not sure why they were allowed to do this in the middle of the night.

Location and staff

The room we booked (2 queens and sofa bed) was not available as they over booked and ended up giving it away to another reservation. However they did comp us an additional room.so they made it right and we appreciated that.

Breakfast was amazing lot of choices and stayed two nights so got to enjoy different things on both days and the breakfast attended guy who was doing a great job making sure stuff was out and cleaning tables he really did it all beds were comfortable

The person who checked us in was very kind and welcoming. The morning breakfast was good. No complaints.

None really. Only thing I can think of was the phone didn't work. I needed extra towels but could not call.

Bed and beddings are comfortable. Staff is very accommodating. The fridge and microwave are good additions too, as well as the breakfast buffet.

No security and no security box in room.

Great location!

There were just a few little things wrong with the room. The night stand drawer wouldn’t stay closed and there was a weird spot in the tub that would retain water the whole time after a shower.

Clean room and the complementary bathroom items, like shampoo and body lotion were great

No great shades and the sunlight enters the room really early
