Residence Inn by Marriott Fort Worth Southwest

We loved our stay at Residence Inn! The property, rooms, and location exceeded our expectations. It is literally bordered by high-end shops and restaurants (Whole Foods, REI, Cava, etc.) and a river with a walking/biking trail. Breakfast was great, and we were the only ones in the gym the days we used it. Plus, it's about three miles to the TCU campus. We will be back!

The main downside about the pool is its location, out front and visible from the parking lot across the street. Some privacy screening on the fence would solve that nicely. And, the waffle station at breakfast was cramped and often had a line. That's about it, though. No other complaints.

We enjoyed the hotel's small size, and our room was spacious enough for our needs. The hotel is less than a year old and has modern decor. The property appeared clean and smelled fresh. There were no noise issues from guests or pets. All of the staff we encountered were friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. The location of the hotel was also ideal for our needs. There are a few restaurants and a Whole Foods Store within walking distance. We were pleasantly surprised by the assortment of items for breakfast. My husband enjoyed the hot scrambled eggs with chicken sausage our first morning and made a breakfast sandwich with scrambled eggs and Canadian bacon the following day of our stay. The bread, pastries, and fruit were fresh, and we enjoyed the selection of beverages. It was more than your standard continental breakfast.

My only complaint is the cleanliness of the bathroom. I understand how difficult it is to maintain a high standard of tidiness. However, residue on the toilet seat and bathroom floor shouldn't be overlooked. Fortunately, we travel like most people with Lysol and Clorox Wipes. So, we thoroughly cleaned the entire space before enjoying our accommodation. During our stay, I learned the hotel had recently struggled through the absence of their entire housekeeping staff due to COVID and were readjusting. I honestly think my bathroom concern is not the norm for this hotel.

What a gorgeous suite! Very well laid out and upper end. Quiet, great location and easy to get to. I would definitely recommend to others and will stay here again.

I couldn't have the breakfast (fasting labs that morning) but went to look it over for future reference. Meh.

Location was good for us. Appearance of facility was very appealing. Rooms are spacious and was very clean. Breakfast was good with several options eachornong.

Entrance into the lobby parking was tight and one way. If there was 4 cars in the driveway it was full.

Liked that there were options for milk. The orange juice and apple juice were both very good, and I’m picky about my Orange juice.

Would’ve like more meat options other than just sausage. The eggs weren’t very good. The waffles weren’t very good at all. Would’ve liked bigger cups for juice or milk.

Breakfast was good.

The weight room needs some machine weights for abs and back. There was not a card showing TV channels.

Loved the size of the room and having the pullout couch. Breakfast included is always a plus.

The faucets in the tub were difficult to get to spray or just fill the tub.
