Americas Best Value Inn & Suites-Texas City/La Marque

I read other reviews before booking and was a little concerned but was the last hotel for holiday weekend. I was surprised it was very clean staff was friendly, housekeeping even came in on our 2nd day and made beds and took out trash. Breakfast was donuts, toast or cereal. It was good to tide us over till lunch. There were no roaches

The beds were very uncomfortable, the walls are thin so you can hear other guests. We were above the pool and there was a party till 3am so noisy. The bathroom fixtures could use updating

Room and bed were comfortable. Took a shower and the hot water never got cold...took a little bit for the water to get hot No roaches, no bed bugs, and no hair left in the towels...no blood stains on the sheets I did not have a need for the business center even though they do have one The pool is nice and has a hot tub...I didn't go in...you can see it from the 2nd floor loft area

Climbing the stairs...next time I will request a room downstairs...I booked an accessible room with a hand rail in the shower and the room that the check-in desk clerk gave me was upstairs...not sure if the elevator worked or not, but the desk clerk only mentioned the stairs They are still not serving breakfast due to the pandemic even though it was included in the price of the room...did not find out till the next morning after the check - in desk clerk said there would be breakfast The check-in clerk was not very friendly, however, the rest of the employees and staff were very nice and pleasant and would answer any and all questions and took care of any and all complaints

The room was great the staff was friendly. Loved it because it was so close to the texas city dykes.

When we got there the room key wouldn't work the came and had to make it to where it didn't lock at all so we spent 3 days with our room unlocked. Hoping everytime we left that no one came into our room.

The price was great! Its been 10 years since I've been here. They have remolded! The bathrooms and rooms look great! Especially the king room Kitchenette with stovetop induction. The pool is exceptionally beautiful. And the front desk staff is fun and friendly.

The smoking room did not have an ashtray. The TV remote was clearly old and worn. The bed was way too stiff. I had a crick for 3 days. The cleaning staff is rude they knock and don't even give you time to get to the door before they are trying to unlock it and come in.

This hotel was booked because of the full hot breakfast they were supposed to have. All that was there was a waffle machine and a coffee machine. We were disappointed. We were in a non smoking room, but there was a distinct smoke odor in the hallways and everywhere else.

The attached bar. The older woman is just straight up rude. Did not want to bother her for a drink while she's sitting on the other side of the bar looking like she hates the world! Hope she's gone next year will make my trip better.

The Breakfast was only a waffle, but only one waffle maker and had to wait in line, did not have any eggs or meat for choices, the breakfast was the only thing negative for the whole stay.

Location and price

Toilet seat not attached to the toilet, two towels on the floor and could have been cleaner. TV screen was very dirty with smudges and hand prints, surfaces smudged and sticky in places.

The price was reasonable and the room was clean comfortable location with good and it was not far from Galveston Texas and Texas City

The only thing that I do not like was breakfast. They didn't have more food more varieties

Indoor entrances, friendly helpful staff no bothering the guests. Nice place to stay for the price, walking distance to outlet mall & convenient store

Need more options for breakfast. Only have cereal and waffles
