South Shore Harbour Resort and Conference Center

I love this location and hotel. The rooms are a nice size and comfortable. I don't understand why the rooms didnt get a little sprucing up during COVID. Just some paint and repairs...nothing fancy.

Rooms was in need of repair. Bathroom ceiling tile was shifted with huge hole above shower. Pool area was rancid. I cannot describe how filthy the outdoor seating was and the odor. It was HORRIBLE. Breakfast was supposed to open at 7am (posted everywhere) yet I was told 7.30 upon arrival.

Customer service was great from everyone we encountered. View was amazing. Pool was relaxing. Room was nice. We are locals who came to spend our anniversary there.

The only thing that we wished they offered was more shade for those wanting to lounge by the pool. Only 1 umbrella offered unless you wanted to pay $250.00 for a cabana. We would have stayed longer but the sunburn wasn't worth it. Lol! Just an idea maybe. 😉 we would come for a weekend more often.

IWe loved this hotel. The beds were extremely comfortable, we had a hard time leaving it. Every employee was very friendly, everything was spotless, the views from both our room and the Bistro were beautiful. We are definitely coming back.

The ONLY negative remarks are that the phone was not plugged in ,the room looked like it hadn't been dusted in a few days and the bathroom/toilet was alittle cramped. These are all extremely minor issues.

Thank you to the staff for placing us on the marina side upon our request. It was beautiful and very healing. Staff is always so nice and professional.

There was a huge teacher luncheon the following day AND they were working on the unground parking simultaneously. This was not convenient after we returned from breakfast on Monday. We had to park in the back of the underground lot and carry our bags all the way out there. NOT fun.

perfect location for relaxing walk along the marina, 5 minutes drive to the Kemah boardwalk and 15 minutes to the space center. great pool (not heated so water may be cold if visiting before May). convenient restaurants on side and close by. rooms are clean and spacious and with nice balcony facing the water

Everything except the white gentlemen who checked us in. Bad ( nonchalant) attitude .

One person almost ruined our experience and we are well versed het setters so this no slight negative comment I am making. * * check in @ 19 Nov 2022 approx time 5pm 1700 hrs** ATTM: could NOT get name due to no name tag or name tag was covered by his sweater..

We did not try the breakfast, but the restaurant on site was fenonamal. We also loved the view of all the sailboats and the Harbor. Check in was a snap easy easy. The room with balcony was spacious. As always thank you all for the pleasant stay, we will be back everytime we visit Kemha, Tx.

Very nicely decorated. Cozy beds and quiet location. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice location for visiting the NASA Space Center. We enjoyed the beautiful view from our balcony of the swimming pool and yachts in the harbor.

There were no towel bars to hang the towels to dry, so after three days we had a lot of wet towels, being that there was no room service. The grout and bathtub area around the faucet and shower head was grimy. Also, the room was too cold. We tried to set the thermometer to 70 degrees, but it kept going back to 67 degrees. We called for help, but nothing changed. We finally turned the system off, but then there was no separate fan for the bathroom.

Me and my wife had the two Queen beds with a balcony suite : LOVED the balcony and views of the Marina: WILL ABSOLUTELY be coming back, clean rooms fresh smell, great hotel and surrounding areas....places to eat everywhere

I love the decor of South Shore, and one of the few hotels left with balconies. Rooms are spacious.

the front desk clerk or supervisor was not attentive and treatment was not what I an accustomed to at South Shore Hotel. I rushed there in the beginning of Hurricane Nicholas because of electricity had gone out. I had my son with me who was afraid and Ms. Ashley thought it was no rush to get us checked in, and when my card was declined because I keep our locked, she treated me a little different. Sad but in the thick of the storm safety was not priority. Then she purposely ignored my request for a negative room number amber gave me the opposite, positive 522. Because I stay here often I knew the odd # rooms would still the wind from the storm from being so crazy, well she wanted to charge me extra:(
