SpringHill Suites by Marriott Texas City

Very well maintained and clean hotel. The staff are all friendly and warm and very hardworking. Breakfast had a decent variety from day to day, and it was well stocked with food levels being checked frequently. The daybed couch was brilliant and perfect for our six year old. The desk partition that opens allowed him privacy and could also be opened so we could check on him if needed. Lastly, the pool, while small, does already have a selection of life jackets for the kids. Such a thoughtful touch.

The bed was a little too soft. The room doors closed so loudly that it did startle my son, who was sleeping on the wall in the daybed.

location is, or will be great. construction on highway made getting in a bit confusing. staff was great and rooms were clean and comfortable.

Construction confusion, SUPER cheap toilet paper and frozen waffles (weren’t fresh and had something like brown sugar on them. ) I just wanted plain hot waffles. Lastly, and this is a quibble, but a big one, the only way to keep a light on n the bathroom is to have one of two sets of incredibly bright lights on. Since the doors are translucent, it means that sleep is challenging. It would be great to have a nightlight or way to cover the door so anyone in the bathroom doesn’t disturb a sleeping companion.

The value, the staff, the ease of checkin/checkout. It's a short drive to the cruise port in Galveston and far less expensive and congested. We enjoyed the breakfast as well!

Literally the ONLY thing we didn't like was the bathroom with a frosted glass door was directly across from the bed, so I woke up my husband while getting ready in the morning. That definitely is not a deterrant to us coming back though!

I really liked this hotel for several reasons! First of all, this place is top notch clean! The head housekeeper is very nice too. The hotel is brand new with very nice decor. The beds were very comfortable, and I'm very picky when it comes to hotel beds!! So I slept very good. Noise was never an issue, as we were on the 3rd floor in the corner of the hotel. My kids loved the pool too. Breakfast was good, but we would of loved afew more options such as waffles, oatmeal, bacon (instead of sausage). Oh and 20-25 minutes from the beach. All in all, this hotel was so clean and comfortable, we will be back!

The only few things that I frowned upon was they don't have coffee after 9am. No lobby coffee which kinda was a bummer. But coffee makers in each room so it was available, just ask the front desk for extras.

Definitely Location! Who doesn’t love being within walking distance of bucees and the outlet mall! ☺️ Also the new modern look/feel of the room was very nice. I saw where some people said it wasn’t cool but we found the whole room cooled off very well and we like our rooms cold at night for a good nights sleep. Oh and staff was super nice!

The breakfast was very minimal and ended fairly early. Also the pool is very small! Just in my opinion they should definitely keep up the cleaning to being maybe a bit more thorough (wipe walls/behind the couch cushions, ins & outs NOT just around everything) If they don’t I can see how it could go south very quickly since it’s a fairly new hotel.

The staff really makes this place what it is. My AC went out, and the manager had it fixed within a few hours. Everyone was kind and polite. Lovely staff.

The furniture in the room—the couch and chairs—very uncomfortable.

The hospitality, our friends where in a wreck on the interstate. They was stranded this hotel was the closed to our location. The staff was so accommodating and understanding. We can not say enough on how helpful they was to our group from the time we walked in until we left.

Nothing

The hotel is a great location to stay at the night before your cruise. It is walking distance from Buc-ee's and the Tanger Outlet. It is also a less than 10 minute drive from Walmart, Sam's Club, Whataburger and other restaurants.

The breakfast could have been better. There was no real sugar only substitutes. The juice was not good. The toaster kept shorting out.

It was very convenient to all of the attractions we were going to. The front desk gentleman was very nice and recommended a few places to us. We will definitely be back for another stay soon.

The breakfast wasn't really good but they did have quite a few options. I ate cereal instead if the hot foods that were heated in a microwave.

I love the design of the room. Very sophisticated use of space! Plenty of sleeping space beyond the bed but still maintained a comfortable sitting area and desk area. Bathroom was great - especially the shower! Love the sliding doors - saves so much space! Great design. The bed was very comfortable!

We only had one coffee pack in our room upon arrival. There were 3 adults staying for 3 nights - it would be great if we could have been prepared for our stay without having to seek out more coffee bags. The coffee in the lobby area during breakfast was not good (at all) and I totally preferred the packets in the room.
