Candlewood Suites San Antonio Airport, an IHG Hotel

We liked that the hotel is close to the airport. We stayed and left our car while we went away. They took care of my car, and the price was excellent, for parking and our stay. This is the 2nd time we've stayed because of the staff, location, and cleanliness and the bed was amazing. Especially after a long flight home, sleeping in a comfy bed was a bonus. We will definitely stay again whether we are flying out or just staying the weekend to enjoy San Antonio!!

The only downside was no breakfast. There is a little "store-like" place and we bought stuff to munch on and coffee was free. But, sometimes eating something hot just makes things a little better. Either way, it won't keep us from staying again.

The bed was extremely comfortable and everything looked clean.

The shower head in the room I stayed in may need to be looked at. There isn't a way to get it to use all the holes, so either it's really focused with a hard central spray, or it has a diffuse spray that only uses the bottom half of the holes on the shower head nozzle. The hotel can't really do anything about this, but the person above me got up at around 6 and sounded like they were stomp-running a marathon in their room - it woke me up and I had to put ear plugs in to go back to sleep.

Due to memorial weekend this was the best price out there and most safe, clean, and great reviews. All staff were nice and courteous. As we checked into our room comes to find out it had a kitchen. Loved the lending locker idea never checked it out though. Sufficient spaces for parking and the outdoor pool was awesome!

The hotel is in a great location. Kitchen was great and has a full refrigerator. They have a gym and free washers and dryers for use. The lending center had activities for the kids.

We travel to SanAntonio for medical treatment twice a month. Location was close to the medical facility that is a plus. Always great to have nice, Helpful staff.

Nothing we didn’t like.

We were given a choice of a better room when were unhappy with the room we were given upon check in! The manager was very accommodating and helpful, which was very appreciated.

We were given a room upon check in which was not up to par on what we are accustom to when we stay here. We were a bit disappointed, but after letting the staff know of my concerns they were quick to fix the problem. They let us pick between 2 other rooms and comped the price. This is why we choose to stay here above other places in town when we come to San Antonio.

I liked everything From when I walked in the front door till I left It was a great room was clean very nice room staff was very friendly and helpful great place to stay recommend it to anybody I don't believe I've stayed at 1 of the facilities before but from now on when I'm out on the road and looking for a hotel to stay in I will definitely have them 1st on the list Good job

Let's put it this way there wasn't anything I disliked

Only five mins to the airport w/ an airport shuttle. The room was spacious, cozy and had nice furnishings. There is also a gym on site.

The receptionist is also the shuttle driver and so may need to wait until they are not busy to pick you up.

Very nice front desk clerk at check in and at check out. Nice clean room, bathroom with soft towels and bed was comfortable. Location felt safe and well lighted.

Well asked for top floor and wasn't given one so of course my luck I had a loud stomper above me late Into the night. Also maids were knocking on the door at 10am then again at 10:45 There wasn't a do not disturb sign in room so a system needs to be applied where maids can check with the front desk of customers that haven't checked out. Hotel also charged $25 fee on credit card and you'll receive it back in 3 - 5 business days depending on your bank.

rooms, while not terrible, could use an update. perhaps modern bedsides with charging capabilities.
