Hampton Inn Waco North

The breakfast was delicious. Location was great - very near all attractions that we wanted to visit, Magnolia, Baylor, Texas Sports Hall of Fame, etc...

On the booking.com website it advertises an indoor pool but they are currently tearing the pool out to make way for a new area, the pool was one of the main reasons we chose this property. Also for room service during our stay we needed to schedule it a day in advance and this was not communicated to us.

We enjoyed the hot breakfast at Hampton like we always did. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the room size was just enough for me and my daughter. The fridge was useful to have a cold drink the next day for our tennis tournament.

The staff were not very welcoming at the front desk or the kitchen. We requested an early check in but the “room was not ready” until 3pm. It’s not a quiet place being next to the interstate but it was close to our tennis site. The price has gone up a lot since we last stayed there pre COVID.

My partner had to fix our toilet because the chain was off. The door to the bathroom also would not shut. It had clearly settled because there were scuff marks on the tile, and the bottom of the door was peeling off. I had asked for handicap accessible, and there was room for the wheelchair, but the bathtub had no grab bars, and the toilet didn’t either.

Everything was clean from the lobby to the bathroom. We felt comfortable in our room and the building. The staff were very pleasant and friendly. The breakfast was good, had a wide selection and was appreciated as we left for church.

Would be nice if the light above the sink would turn on. also would be nice if there was an exhaust fan in bathroom for steam.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious, it was clean, the bathrooms were well stocked (we appreciated the Neutrogena toiletries), and getting additional towels was no problem. The receptionist that checked us in (I didn’t catch his name) was absolutely wonderful and efficient. Breakfast the next morning was wonderful as well. If we are in the area again, we would definitely stay there again.

Having bacon or another protein as a breakfast option besides scrambled eggs would have been nice, but was not a deal breaker.

I liked a lot about the Hampton Inn, especially since I ran from the Quality Inn a couple hotels down. The Quality Inn was pretty disgusting and stunk of smoke. I left after one night so coming to the Hampton Inn was paradise. It was very clean, the bathroom was a great size with all the items I needed. The bed was lovely and comfortable. The TV was a good size and the available channels were plenty. Best of all, it smelled great and I felt safe as a single girl traveling.

The closet was a little small and they charged me more than the amount I agreed to off of booking.com. The woman at the front desk wasn't at her station and I called to her a couple of times. There was a gent also waiting with me who finally got her attention after we waited a good 10 minutes.

I saw the reviews that the breakfast was very good. That was a good call. Many hotels have the waffle maker. This one stepped it up with two flavors of waffle mix regular and cinnamon. Eggs were fine and the sausage was very good. Plenty of other choices. Some places are not doing breakfast with Covid as an excuse. Not this place. If I forgot a toothbrush it would have been taken care of.

Would have been nice if they mentioned the hot tub was out of service. The year round pool is tiny but no one uses it anyway it seems.

The breakfast choice was absolutely perfect. Breakfast was Great. My kids enjoyed it and so did I. Will stay here again.👍🏾💯

This is not about the property...instead of being charged the price advertised on booking.com, I was charged the actual price of the room but the hotel fixed it and refunded me the difference...which was Great. I didn't have any problems at this hotel. Awesome👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ P.S. Pls pay attention to your paperwork when checking out.

it’s always clean. The beds are comfortable. The breakfast is really good and the people are very friendly.

I called back to check on my bill because more was deducted from my checking account than what I expected. The lady I spoke with was very rude. I’m sorry I don’t remember her name.

Really nice place, room was plenty spacious and was perfect for the price.

Only problem we had is that we feel like the cleaning was rushed. It LOOKED clean but our 10 month old baby found a pill not even 5 minutes after we checked in. Luckily we seen her about to put it in her mouth and got it. Searched the room ourselves for more and didn’t find any. Not sure if she actually ate one before we seen her with that one or not but we honestly were kind of thinking she may have as she was sick the next few days after that.
