Magnuson Cedar City

I was pleasantly surprised! I expected an older motel from the views of the exterior. When I arrived I noticed the exterior was very well maintained, so when I went to the check in desk I was greeted by a very friendly manager. When I viewed my room I was amazed at how it more than met my expectations.......very upgraded and comparable to high-quality, more expensive motel chains. I always look for a comfortable bed, and the bed I slept on was very comfortable.....maybe more so than what I sleep on at home. I highly recommend staying here!

Very good rate and when we drove up we figured this would be a low budget motel as it looks like that from the road. We were very pleasantly surprised to find the room was well appointed, the king bed was very comfortable, a microwave and fridge were present, and the bathroom was very nice. Breakfast was even included (cereal, yogurt, waffles, eggs) which was remarkable given the rate. Very good location too. Will definitely consider this for next visit!

The rooms were very clean. This is an old hotel BUT it was clean and comfy for one night stay. The people were very kind and accommodating in any of our requests. Free wifi and free breakfast if you wanted it

Really the only issue we had was the breakfast. Not really what we expected. When I asked at check in if they had eggs in their breakfast she said yes, well she didn't lie but they were hard boil eggs, LOL. We ended up leaving and ate at a great place right down the street called All American Diner!

Location: right in the middle of town. Walking distance from anything you might want to visit of restaurants, pubs and quaint city center shops. Short drive to Interstate. Breakfast: relatively simple, but gets you started. Bed: firm and comfy enough. Room standard: nothing flashy, but well kept and clean.

Why are there no hooks for towels in the bathroom? And why table on only one side of the bed?

The rooms are nice and we’ll furnished. The bed is very good. The shower is good too. The coffee at breakfast is very good.

The outside is needing some improvement and paint/wood works. Please tell your guest’s the $100 security fee. Yes it will be refunded if all is well. But tell your guests about it!

Having stayed in Cedar City before, for the price I expected a remodeled hotel. The room had plenty of outlets for my electronics.

When I arrived, the lobby was locked so I rang the bell and didn't get any response. I turned away for a look around and when I turned back I notices a second doorbell to push. Then, the manager came and checked me in. The building exterior had been upgraded, but the bathroom had tile from the 50s. The older room was reasonably furnished and roomy. The bathroom seemed a bit cramped and behind the bathroom door didn't look like it had been cleaned in a long time.

I liked the fact that the Magnuson was very close to downtown and was very well lighted. I noticed a shopping cart filled with recyclables tucked away between some rooms and notified management, the cart was removed right away. I don't know if a vagabond left it there or the management had just cleaned up the lot. In either case the matter was taken care of quickly.

A very clean, comfortable, and well furnished room. Reasonable priced. Good location.All the amenities one can expect at the price I paid.

No refunds for cancellation .Once I booked the property sent me a message stating check in isn’t until 4PM.A $100 deposit would also be required.

This was a great place to stay! We explored nearby Bryce and Zion Canyons. Our room was large, had a microwave and fridge. The price was right. For breakfast we had coffee, juice, waffles, cereal and milk, and hard-boiled eggs. The hotel clerk was friendly and nice to chat with. Would definitely stay here again.

Super comfy bed! I slept so soundly, it was amazing! Electric outlets on both sides of the bed. One of my new favorite things at a hotel is hand pump soap, shampoo and body wash instead of little squares of soap. The people working there are great. Great breakfast: waffles, OJ, yogurt, (make your own coffee).

The hand pump soap, shampoo and body wash have such tiny amounts that I could never tell if I was actually getting clean. Also, wi-fi is not the best.
