Viking Village is a stunning place that surprised us in wonderful ways! - If you are into Viking lore, Viking Village should be on your bucket list, full stop. You are sure to think you have died and gone to Valhalla. - If you are into creative "theming": This place is one of a kind, with sophisticated attention to detail that is seems unmatched by anyone short of the highest-end Disney resorts. Everywhere you look there is a clever touch to convey a particular Viking-ish feeling (if a very unrealistically confortable and posh one ;-) - If you simply want a nice cottage to stay in: the cottages are both very beautiful and highly practical. Perfect for a couple or for a family of 3-4, such that parents can have their own lovely room and kids can have their own room in the charming upstairs loft (note: with somewhat steep and slippery stairs and no door to keep closed, I wouldn't have personally felt safe with toddlers in the loft. But we have have two teenagers, and it was perfect.) The bathroom was memorably fantastic (those sinks! the water pressure!) The wi-fi was perfect. The pillows, and fairy lights, and every little touch was just so well thought out and lovely. And the kitchen was fully decked out with everything one would need for basic meal prep (pots and pans, knives, silverware, paper towels, napkins, I think even paper plates) which is just such a huge convenience. The location might require some consideration depending on a traveler's goals. For those seeking time in nature, it is perfect. And we found driving the back country roads of Vermont and N. Mass to be a big part of the fun. We ended up going to Thunderbold Mountain Coaster at East Berkshire ski resort (so fun for kids and adults!) MOCA art museum in North Adams. Amherst and Northampton (great shops and restaurants!) Lenox MA. Bennington, Wilmington, and Manchester VT. Great fun! The proprieter couldn't have been more wonderful.
We LOVED absolutely everything about this place - it couldn't have been more perfect. We will be back!

The details were incredible and the craftsmanship in every detail was meticulous. It really felt like we had been transported to a Viking village
I didn’t dislike any part of the stay. The only recommendations I have are to put larger comforters on the bed - we are two smaller people and had a battle for blankets as the comforter didn’t cover us both. Had to use an additional blanket from the loft. The other recommendation is to establish more of a social media presence and I feel it could drive an ever stronger customer base - after posting pictures I had a minimum of 10 people ask the location and show interest in visiting

We LOVED the Property! It was Beautiful and unlike anything I had ever seen Before. Our Chalet was Amazing! So cozy, and beautifully decorated. I could on forever about how gorgeous the property was! Another thing we loved was how well we were treated by Christina. She met us onsite to check in, showed us around and answered all our questions. She also sent us a nice text thanking us when we left. If you haven't stayed at this property yet-you are missing out! It should be seen by all at least once!
We Loved everything about our stay.

This place is amazing! Each cabin is so cool, we stayed here a night when our original plans to stay in Barre were changed due to the flood. We couldn’t have been happier. The cabins are new, well built and designed really well. We already booked dates to go back and visit with more friends. Every detail was thought of and the service was out of this world. Amazing!
Nothing. This was amazing!

Unique remote peaceful setting. Cabins are well appointed. Fans of fantasy genre will really appreciate the craftmanship and truly one of a kind medieval ambiance. No expense was spared to make this place a gem.
Place is designed for peaceful relaxation so quiet. I think they should add a few things for kids. Playset area, indoor activities in the common area.

The cabin was beautiful. The attention to detail truly transported one back to another time. My son loved the Viking Village and its atmosphere. Friendly staff and lovely location.
Provide more information about local attractions in the area. Also, sitting area not the most comfortable. Couch rather low and too hard.

We were looking for a quiet get away and this was perfect... It did pour both days we were there but that was perfect as there's not much to do close by...
Honestly the only thing for me was the sitting areas(chairs/couch) were not comfortable to just hang and lounge on.
