Hilton Arlington

The room was clean and quiet, very comfortable. Great location next to metro station made it easy to get both to the city centre and national airport.

On the day of our leave a receptionist was highly incompetent when asked for an invoice (he was given all the details needed). Three times he printed it out wrongly. We were forced to leave to be able to get on time for our flight. Despite my three emails to the hotel I did not get neither an answer, nor a correctly made invoice.

Location is great for metro system and plenty of good eating establishments within walking distance. This location allowed us to do everything we wanted without renting a car. A combination of the metro system and uber met our needs.

The accommodations were great, but I have been double billed - Once by Booking.com and once again on my credit card by Hilton when checking out. I called the Hilton to follow-up was told my credit card had been declined by Booking.com so they had to collect. However, my booking.com credit card charge has cleared the bank, so something needs to be resolved.

The location was perfect for our needs. I was traveling with my 4 year old granddaughter and felt very safe walking in this area of the city. Close to so many places to shop, eat and travel.

Excellent location and super convenient with the metro into DC right there. Also, we got there early- around 11:30am-12pm and planned to just park, take the metro and then check in when we got back. I ran in just to see if there was anything I needed to park since we were staying at the hotel and they offered for us to check in right then. We had a great experience and will definitely stay there again when we take trips to DC!

We had to search a bit to find the restaurant for breakfast. While the service was exceptional, (our server was very attentive and sweet) it was quite pricey for the limited amount of items on the buffet.

This was a perfect location and the hotel looks amazing. The room was clean and had no weird odors. Ray at the front desk checked us in, and he was the most joyous and helpful person I’ve ever met. He really welcomed us in and provided a map with all the landmarks with instructions with how to get there by train. The cleaning lady was almost as well and so kind. The staff overall is amazing and I would not mind staying here again.

I don’t really have a complaint but one that is maybe the way the entrance to the hotel is a bit inconvenient, you have to wait until the driver in front of you moves so you can get around the roundabout or be dropped off at the corner.

The staff at breakfast should be paid for their friendliness. So many guests hugged and kissed staff persons it was almost weird. It made dining more pleasurable. The location was very close to the airport but so many restaurants and business places surrounded the hotel. With DC traffic I had to Uber very little.

The location in Ballston is excellent. It's safe and walkable after dark with lots of food choices. Of course access to public transit is a huge perk too. The hotel offered a tasty warm breakfast with a lot of options for different tastes. The lobby looked nice and the bed was comfortable with pillows of varying firmness. The room was spotlessly clean. The shower was upscale and really nice. The staff were as very warm, friendly and helpful. The infant crib I borrowed was also in good, clean shape, just like the last time I was here. They offered everything I could need to be comfortable for a short business trip with my infant along for the ride.

Little nooks and crannies are starting to show some wear if you inspect closely, although the decor and style is quite nice overall.

Room: The king bed was super comfortable and the main room was large and nicely decorated. It was updated -- felt like it had recently been remodeled. Location: This location next to the Ballston Metro station is fantastic! Would recommend the hotel based on location alone.

Bathroom: The bathroom was very clean except for a moldy floor in the shower. Also, we HATE the sliding barn doors on bathrooms. Finally, there was no switch for a fan in the bathroom. Every sound reverberated in the bathroom, which made for a real lack of privacy. Cleaning service: We were unaware that we had to request that the room be cleaned and came back late after a long day of touring to full trash cans and an unmade bed. It wasn't until we called the desk that we were told we had to make a special request for cleaning service. :(

Excellent location in the center of lively Ballston neighborhood of Arlington. Metro is literally just next door and only a few metro stops to DC. Ballston is now something of a young professional and university student magnet, with lots of cutting edge restaurants, coffee shops, and businesses. The Hilton is near the center of this, but supremely quiet and accessible. Staff were well trained, pleasant, and helpful.

Our only complaint is with the extremely uncomfortable wingback chair in the room. It was totally unyielding and forced you to sit perfectly straight. Not in the least bit comfortable. A wood bench wood have been better. Otherwise, the room was very well appointed, the bathroom was large and the shower was wonderful. We loved it.

Location is terrific over Ballston Metro station which allows easy access to DC. The hotel is also in walking distance of many stores and restaurants, and appreciate that parking is available.

No complimentary waters, charge for breakfast (though the breakfast was quite good and staff extremely helpful), charge for parking quite high as well. Room was on the cramped side, which barely room to walk between the bed and the credenza.
