The Staff was incredibly nice. This place was very clean. The breakfast was actually pretty good to say with the create your own pancake masterpiece.

I liked that the staff were very friendly. I thought the room was very comfortable and seemed luxurious for its price. I also think the location was great and I really appreciate the complimentary bottles of water, it’s perfect for long road trips.

I didn’t find anything displeasing in any way there, I honestly can’t think of any negatives. To be honest if other reviews have something negative to say then they’re picky people.

I had an early start each morning so I did not eat breakfast. I loved the proximity to the door outside to the exercise area for my dogs. The availablity and upkeep of the waste receptacle and nice poop bags was great and the lighting in the area made it easy and safe to exercise my small dogs. The bathroom was wonderful with a big shower and I loved the soap and body creams availble in the bathroom. Housekeeping was great. Decor was beautiful. The ice machine actually worked!

I was disappointed that the refrigerator did not have a place to refreeze my freezer packs. And that my room did not have a microwave was also very surprising. Add. those two things and you have an exemplary hotel.

This is my go to hotel because of its proximity to the I-95 corridor and because it is pet friendly. We were scheduled to arrive near midnight, pets in tow. Instead, an inter-agency squabble demanded that my colleague and I extend our stay in the city, in crisis mode, to resolve an unforeseen - and unwarranted - problem receiving our pets into the US. This left us with a cozy bed in Ashland, while our bodies remained in DC. (No way I was leaving without them!) After hours of haggling and harassment, we simply could not face the thought of driving to Ashland, at 11pm and then back into the city, in commuter traffic, the following morning. I called the hotel, prepared to be berated with words 'cancellation policy' and 'penalty'. Instead, a pleasant voice reassured me that the team at Tru had my back. My reservation was canceled, without penalty. Having empowered staff who can make informed decisions on the ground is a key to guest loyalty. Definitely a go-to when I return to or from DC.

I would like to commend the woman who was working the front desk on the evening that we arrived - 5/14/23 around 5pm. She was exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and helpful. I saw her interacting with both staff and guests, and she was just exceptional. Plus, she gave a great recommendation for dinner and we had the most amazing food that evening:). Also, the gym facility is amazing!

Breakfast could have been served a bit later, for those of us that rise later in the morning.

Super clean. Loved the decor. Front desk staff exceptionally nice and informative. VERY kid friendly. Wish I could've found a hotel like this when my kids were young. Unfortunately, I am in my 60's now and dont have the tolerance I once had. Even though the hotel was right next to a major freeway I couldn't hear it. I've had 3 back surgeries in the last 2 yrs. and yet the bed and pillows were super comfortable.

It seemed none of the cleaning staff spoke English AT ALL so it was frustrating to get so much as a towel or shampoo. Seemed I had a perpetual heard of elephants above my room.

The room was clean and comfortable. Loved the lady who checked me out, however the lady who checked me in barely spoke and not sure whar I was charged for. Breakfast was pretty good for a hotel breakfast.

Whoever designed these bathrooms don't understand toilet paper needs to be relatively close to the toilet. There is no noise blocking whatsoever, so be prepared for creepy sounds all night. The pillows are super flat.

The property was always clean, the common area had a pool table and plenty of tvs and comfy couches if you just wanted to hang out outside of your room due to the weather. They had an area where they sold snacks and drinks like water and soda. The rooms were spacious and we thoroughly enjoyed the pool.

There isn’t a thing I didn’t like about the hotel

This is was our second stay at the hotel. Both times we have been impressed with our entire experience. Upon entering the lobby (on both visits) the staff member at the front desk was welcoming and so kind! The room was immaculate, comfortable and well supplied. The breakfast provided offered many options for all diets. Will definitely recommend and return.

Location, clean rooms

Kids running around everywhere. They should have told the parents they need to get their kids breakfast for them and not have the kids getting it. The kids were spilling things everywhere. Putting bacon in the pool table pockets. The pool table and shuffleboard game needed to be in a game room not the lobby. Kids have to have a parent with them to use it. They broke the pool sticks and had sand all over the place from the shuffleboard game. Other then the kids running wild, the hotel was nice and clean.
