Hyatt House Herndon/Reston

The room was fairly large, the bed was comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped. The location was very good and convenient. The front desk staff were friendly and welcoming.

The walk-in shower drain was ineffective in that the basin wasn't tipped toward the drain and you ended up standing in an inch or two of dirty, soapy water, leaving you with feet feeling dirty and unclean. This is a design or installation problem and, as I see it, can only be fixed by ripping out the shower basin and installing a new one correctly.

Stayed here for several days on a business trip. The room was very large and had a kitchen included. The amount of space for the money I thought was very good. Also very good location for Herndon/Reston and Dulles Airport. Also had a good laundry room, which I utilized. Would definitely stay here if I am in the area again.

Breakfast was ok but not that good. Probably average by US free hotel breakfast standards. I live in Europe so I think I just have different standards. I went out to breakfast on several days. But also had a fridge and kitchen so you can always just do your own breakfast.

The staff was very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was delicious. And my concerns were met with more than considerate compensation. Also, our room was amazing!

The cleanliness of the bathroom...more specifically, the shower. However, the manager listened intently to what I had to say and came to see for himself what I was talking about to better be able to relay to his cleaning staff. He also compensated by moving us to a different room that was actually larger than the one we were in.

This is a lovely hotel in many ways. It's modern and clean, with large rooms, nice decor, comfortable couches and beds, good sheets and towels, and a convenient location. The free daily breakfast has hot and cold options. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a full-size fridge, which is useful for long stays. The fitness room is the best equipped I've seen in a hotel at this price level.

The water pressure in the shower was weak on the second floor, and the shower head had no options to change the type of spray. If you have long hair, good luck getting the conditioner out. Although the kitchen had many basic items, there were no sharp knives of any size. If you plan to cook, you'll need to bring your own knives. Also, there was dish soap but no sponge or scrub brush, which made it hard to wash dishes by hand. We ended up using a washcloth to wash the dishes.

The size of the room, the bed was large and comfortable, and the kitchen amenities were wonderful.

The early check-in fee was inconsistent - some members of my party were able to arrange early check-in through Hyatt's customer service phone line and didn't need to pay for early check-in, and others tried to do the same and were instructed to ask upon arrival and then when we did so, were asked to pay a fee for early check-in at the property.

I loved that it was very clean. The high contact items and objects even passed my white wipe test! Staff was very friendly and accommodating! I really appreciated that! Room was spacious for a hotel. Loved the walk-in shower as well. The morning breakfast had hot options. The staff kept asking what options we liked the best. They loved feedback!

The odor in the elevators smelled pretty bad. I used the stairs due to that. Also the pool wasn't open. It opened as we was leaving. Front desk stated it was awaiting an inspection. It would of been nice to know that prior to making the reservation or at check in.

The pool was nice and kept well. The breakfast was a big variety of things for everyone. The room was bigger than expected and the bed was pretty comfortable.

We saw grills outside near the pool and wanted to grill steaks one night but unfortunately both grills were broken. There is also a bar in the lounge area. Tried to hit it up a couple times during their hours and it was never opened.

Checking into the Hyatt was a great experience. The staff, especially Chad, was friendly, informative, effective and super helpful. I really liked the free parking and the brass bag mover for ease of moving your belongings to your room - all on flat level surface or lift. Room was spacious and well stocked. loved the laundromatte and other facilities. Location was spot-on!

Only two things bothered me - 1) the breakfast was OK only, not great, and was exactly the same every day.. no variation. No bacon, no juice, tea water was tepid and no real choice for food. 2) I know this is due to covid but my room wasn't cleaned or restocked in the 8 days there. I suppose I could have checked with the front desk but there was no door hanging to help say "clean my room" or "need towels" ...

Outstanding location, close to town and Metro. Fantastic breakfast served by charming staff. Very clean and well kept property and grounds. Room was nicely decorated and very cozy. All other hotel amenities were excellent.

Not Hyatts fault, but the moronic twit that smoked large quantities of weed daily on our floor should be evicted and charged. Hyatt staff were busy on the case.

I loved the space the room provided. You didn't feel like you were staying in a hotel. The breakfast had lots of variety. The staff were mostly pleasant and accomodating.

We were told the seasonal pool was open and it was not. It would be nice if they enclosed the pool and allowed it to open earlier, or to stay open all the time.
