Evening receptionists were so friendly, obliging, and kind. Restaurant staff very nice, too. Room is like a wonderful time warp, going back to the late 50s/early 60s, a time of family vacations and innocence. Gorgeous location, quiet, and unique.

Absolutely understaffed in kitchen and wait staff, so impossible to order, receive, and eat breakfast in less than an hour! The first day I was lucky, but the second day I had to leave without even ordering as there were 20 people waiting to eat and only one waiter. The reception, however, had 5 staff members attending one client! I found it strange that they didn't help out in the restaurant!

I love the hotel! It's a historic hotel, so don't expect modern amenities. But it is beautiful and very well kept. The dining hall is stunning, and the food was great!

We stayed at this hotel because it is within walking distance to the Natural Bridge Park. We wanted to see the Creation Light Show only to find out that the State of Virginia bought the park from the hotel. The State cancelled the Creation Light Show because they say that they must separate the state from the church. AND the state now charges $9/per person to enter the park. Natural Bridge Hotel did not charge an entrance fee to the park and the Creation Show was free.

The staff here are exemplary. Everyone is incredibly friendly and thoughtful. Nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely stay again. It was very close to the namesake rock formation. Our room and beds were very comfortable, and the views were exceptional. We happened to slip into a quiet weekend for the area. The food was great, I really liked the pecan pie. My companions' food was equally excellent. We asked for a redo of the green beans, and they brought out new ones, well seasoned and cooked exactly as requested. The Front of house are keen to please a be ensure that you have a great experience. The steak was cooked exactly to order, and our fish and chips were remarked upon by our English compatriot. Jennifer, was super knowledgeable in the bar, able to talk authoratively on the history of the hotel, and the area, share her knowledge of the wines and local produce. Allie, was so delightful, able to answer all of our questions. Honestly all the staff we spoke with were absolutely wonderful.

The family bathroom downstairs was unclean. But our room and the other bathrooms were very clean. I found the sparking wine all a bit sweet - I didn't buy the $98 French sparking but all the others (even the Spanish brut) were sweet. I think a prosecco would be a welcome addition to the menu. But that's just nitpicking. I would definitely come again.

After a 4 hour hike, the staff was speedy and friendly while getting me checked into my room. Some highlights from my stay.. the Shower.. AMAZING, the towels were soft and a washer and dryer were available to take care of my sweaty clothes ! I chose to eat dinner at The Red Tavern inside the hotel and Holy Cow was it amazing!! Ribeye, Mashed potatoes and asparagus was literally the best meal Ive had all year. (It was so good I ordered the same thing the next day!) The bartender and Head chef Jess had exceptional customer service and sincerely treated me like family. The Park is located just across the street and is absolutely gorgeous! What a wonderful mini vacation! I will definitely be visiting again soon!

Some activities made available at the hotel would be a little more interesting for guests. Maybe a Karaoke night or paint and sip. Theres not much available to do out in town after the bar closes at 9. Anything to do, sing dance, is so far. Any night time activities are about 45 mins away. Having options or creating a calendar with events for guests to track woukd be a great opportunity to liven it up!

The location was outstanding, directly in front of the entry to Natural Bridge! Breakfast I thought was expensive but many options and very good! $18 was the charge for breakfast, but the service was very polite and helpful.

The vacuuming wasn't great. I let the front office know that when they clean up they need to double check under the beds for trash. We left none, but the previous occupants did.

Beautiful location. Staff took care of us after there was an equipment issue key card reader(sometimes things happen). The room(suite) was surprisingly large(like 3 rooms large) with 2 bathrooms and full kitchen

TV was not as simple as turning on and finding a channel but I didn't fool with it much because I was going to bed anyway so it may have been easy to operate if I would've tried

Good location with great history and reputation. This trip was for my daughter and son in law who both love going to the Natural Bridge. The hotel is close to where we live and it is perfect for a overnight or weekend getaway.

My daughter and son in law had a wonderful stay both times they have been there and there was nothing that they disliked while they were there. If they are happy then I am happy.

Location location location. You could walk to one of the best State Parks I’ve ever been to called Natural Bridge. Also the restaurant was very good which was helpful because it was the only Place in the vicinity where you could get food.

It is a massive place that is almost 70 years old and is in dire need of a complete remodeling - or razing and rebuilding. I can only imagine that the cost of maintenance on this Leviathan is a heavy burden. The bathroom in particular was grimy and beat up. I also was disturbed when I went to take a shower and found a very “dirty” rag as well as a bar of soap left from the previous guest. Obviously housekeeping had not cleaned the shower. I reported it but nothing was done. Also during the week there was no lunch service and since there is nothing around and no place to go within miles to get food one simply had to munch on what one had or eat from the vending machines

Great location as it is across the street from the Natural Bridge, VA state park and short walk to the bridge. We got takeout from the onsite restaurant and the food was very good and reasonbly priced. Older hotel with historic look and feel so don't expect ultra modern bathrooms but the hotel and rooms are charming.

No microwave available although there was a mini frig and coffee maker in the room. Tiny shower but clean and good water pressure.

Beautiful location. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The lobby is so grand. There were no issues getting checked in even though we were a little late. Also, the kind lady who checked us in might just be a direct descendant of Aphrodite.

The shower seat was broken but no issue for us as we had brought our own.
