Hampton Inn Norfolk-Naval Base

Staff was very friendly and accommodating when I came in it was a hot day and they offered me ice cold water which was great and I needed them to bring something to my room and they did.

The thing I didn't like about the hotel was the toilet was too low to the ground the toilet needs to be higher up at least 17 inches off the floor because it's difficult for a lot of adults to get back up as myself I'm a handicap person and I needed that accommodation

The location was great. The hotel was clean. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. One staff member sat down and spoke with my 70 year old father for about 20 mins. This staff member also asked my father about his day when he saw us for breakfast the next morning.

There was no a/c in the lobby area making breakfast a stuffy experience. Please get that fixed. The staff is great, make sure they are comfortable which makes for a better experience for your guests. Also, the coffee wasn't that great.

The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was convenient. Staff kept the food coming in spite of the crowd of hungry guests. All the staff members were very friendly and helpful!

The pillows were too soft for me. Next time I’ll remember to bring my own from home. Also, our room was right next to the elevator and the ice machine so it was a bit noisy.

Location was perfect for groceries Food Lion shopping center. Very quiet area day & night. Exceptional breakfast food quality eggs, waffles, potatoes, cereal and sausage with juices and plenty of cofee to boot!

Orange juice tasted watered down a bit on the 2nd day of stay so added some cranberry juice to flavor it up a bit

EVERYTHING!! This place is the cleanest, friendliest hotel we’ve ever stayed at and it’s so close to base my husband and I loved it ❤️ Extra shoutout to the staff so accommodating and helpful & did I mention friendly ?? We will only be staying at this hotel from now on. Thank you!

The room was very nice and clean. I actually didnt have enough shampoo since I hadn't planned in being out of town for a week. The shampoo and stuff was very nice. The laundry facilities were a plus as well. I had wanted to eat at the food truck but missed it due to visiting a family member in the Hospital.

The bed. I have back issues so it was a little uncomfortable for me..

I will say the hotel was good. It was clean, easy to check-in. The breakfast was enough to fill me up and was good. More than I was expecting at first glance when checking in. The elevator was not easy to find. I missed it the first time we walked by. We had to ask the staff and they helped use out.

very convenient to Norfolk Naval Station and reasonable commute to downtown Norfolk and Ocean View restaurants. Great Thai restaurant almost right behind the property.

Not sure if renovation in progress, but temporary ventilation & fans in lobby area, and hallway to elevator, was unappealing and difficult to walk over/around.

Breakfast was delicious. Would have loved coffee but they only had half/half and no creamer. Room was comfortable other than small beds.

I felt the price was a little high. It was a very nice and clean hotel, but at $140/night I would have expected a high class hotel. This hotel should have been priced no more that $99/night, especially with only small double beds. I chose this because it was extremely close to the base and the NEX where I picked my son up from deployment.

it was very close to the naval base which is what we needed. the ac was out on the main floor to the common areas but they had these huge machines in to help. they were loud but it was understandable

a little tight in the breakfast area but again they had those huge machines in to help with the ac issues
