Quality Inn & Suites Olde Town

I loved that there was a full kitchen available. This is VERY rare to find in hotels. I also loved that it was clean. I went in looking for critters, especially considering that there was a real stove, I just knew there would be some crumbs or something left behind to draw 1 or 2 crawlies, but nope. It was the perfect setup for my Bachorette Party / Wedding Weekend on a budget. It was less than 5 min from my venue, which was why I chose it & the staff were very hospitable once I got in & settled.

The area isn't the best, so you will get a mixture of sketchy personalities, especially around the lobby, breakfast, & parking areas. But, I didn't have any issues with concerns with my safety or the safety of my property during my stay & I was there at times alone. The rooms could be more updated, but I believe they are working on doing that & for the value, it is still a decent quality stay.

The staff were very friendly, especially Hedy(?) working breakfast, she was exceptionally sweet, she explained why there was no hot breakfast without us even inquiring. The hotel was clean. The beds were comfortable and had efficient covering and pillows! The AC was nice and cold and set to the lowest temp when we arrived so the room was nice and cool! The room was spacious! The front door locked at a certain time at night and you had to use your key to gain access to the inside, that was a nice safety feature! We didn't have any problems during our stay with anything!

The hotel was only accessible through the front door, there was no other entry, not even another secure entry. The hotel still advertises a free hot breakfast. In order to have a hot breakfast, you have to microwave the frozen sausage or egg and cheese biscuits. Besides that there are packaged granola bars, cereal bars, muffins, yogurt, bananas, oatmeal, and cereal with milk,juice, water, coffee, and tea options. The parking was a little inconvenient if the lot filled. The only place that we could find to park was the back of the hotel (entry was in the front so we had to walk around the entire hotel to gain entry) or in an area with a sign that says "Prone to flooding, Park at your own risk).

I cannot praise both the staff and the cleanliness of this hotel enough. It's obvious that the team prides themselves on how clean this hotel is and their friendliness to guests is genuine and warm. My room was comfortable, my bed was the right level of firm vs soft. I loved Ms Hedy, a total gem and a delight to talk to each morning.

It's obvious that this Quality Inn has seen better days, and a refurb of the rooms is very much needed. In saying this, however, my room was comfortable and very clean.

It is a great location that us easy to get to various places in a short period of time. It was quiet. The bed was just the right height. I love the handicapped Access Shower because of Hip replacements. It was agreat trip. All the staff were very kind.

The breakfast Lady was very pleasant, and I enjoyed the variety. But I wish they had Waffles.

The staff was very friendly and the room was very clean when I entered. The location is great and I enjoyed several restaurants around it. I was there for a conference in Norfolk waterfront and took a very quick ferry ride for just 2$. The ferry Station is just 10 minutes walk. It was very convenient and fun to take a ferry. The parking is free and very convenient. The hotel was quiet and peaceful.

I think the housekeeping while you stay there could be better, but this might be related to the pandemic.

Got my own room with a refridgerator & microwave, and 2 beds to myself. All I could ask for.

I dont like when its alot of people there. Also, sketchy people walking around, so have to be careful. Specifically for the room: could use larger trash bags.

The location is the best part about the property.

I do not like their policy of automatic cancellation of reservations if the credit card does not clear the first time. I experienced this during my attempted last stay, two weeks earlier. Fraud alert logarithms often cause the initial charges to be refused. Time should be allowed for the customer to either make alternative payment accommodations or call the credit card company to authenticate the charge. Often when trying to correct customer service issues with either a credit card company or a hotel, there is a wait 30+ minutes to get mistakes rectified. In my case it was too late to save my reservation with quality Inn and suites Olde town. I called my credit card company ahead of time on the recent stay to warn them that a charge would be coming and to please allow it to be processed.

We stayed here three years ago when my husband ran the USCG 10k/5k; happy to find and stay at the same hotel because it was close to the race site; clean, safe neighborhood, relatively comfortable

The beds were rather soft and the pillows were lumpy...and, the price went from $107 three years ago to $241...just because of Covid? - wonder if this property is taking unfair advantage of the desire of many to get back out and travel...why else the steep rise in the rate - not thrilled and if we run the race again in the future, will consider other options

The staff really made this visit fantastic. the front desk staff made us feel welcome and helped with any issues we had. Hetty who took care of the breakfast always greeted us with a smile and shared our joy of our new granddaughter. The housekeeping were always helpful and friendly. the room was comfortable and quiet. You're only blocks away from Olde Towne and the naval hospital.
