Courtyard by Marriott Norfolk Downtown

The staff was great! The room was clean. Beds were comfortable.

I didn’t like the fact that you have to pay $19 a day to park at their facility. That should be included in the room price, considering you are patronizing THEIR property. That’s a bit ridiculous.

Everything was great! We loved the Starbucks on site, Location was amazing. Rooms were clean, What more can you ask for?

Parking!! The description is not clear. There is a huge parking lot next to the hotel that is not for the hotel. You have to drive around the front of the hotel and use "Valet" parking which costs money, and you feel obligated to tip each time which really adds up.

The location is amazing. We walked to get to the downtown restaurants and bars. Staff were welcoming. We loved the breakfast (I recommend the French toast).

I know this is going to sound so petty but the trash cans in the room were not lined with bags. The bags were there we just had to line the cans ourselves. The breakfast portions were a little small. These are literally the only “bad” things I could think of haha.

Very convenient location to downtown. We were able to walk to restaurants and entertainment and there were lots of things going on to see and do downtown. Every employee that I came in contact with was friendly and helpful!

My biggest issue was the COST of valet parking and there not being another option. I understand that parking is at a premium downtown, I’ve lived and worked in a big city before. It would have been nice to have a lower price self pay option.

I like the location walking to everything was nice the staff was helpful.

I didn’t like the fact that somebody at 4 o’clock in the morning had a key and walked in our room. I thought the safety factor could’ve been better there.I like the location walking to everything was nice the staff was helpful.

Wonderful property. Very clean. Excellent location! But staff was the absolute best...so friendly from the valet to front desk to the Cafe and housekeeping and even the management. WONDERFUL STAFF!

Ice machines, not one of the ice machines on the property worked. Any time wanted ice had to go down to front desk or cafe

The room and view was nice. Staff was great, friendly and professional. It’s Right in the middle of everything downtown Norfolk. I booked a King however I was out in a two bedroom queen room due to AC issues in the King room... for the inconvenience my valet parking was free! Thanks you ladies . The pool and hot tub was nice, we enjoyed it.

The room was a nice size, I didn't feel cramped at all. And the hot tub was so nice in the morning after a long night of rocking out at the NorVa

The bed was pretty uncomfortable

Room was lovely and conviently located. I did notice 2 personal items that a previous guest must have left that were not picked up by housekeeping.

Very disappointed that we had to pay for parking and that there was no complimentary coffee in the morning.

Exceptionally nice and helpful staff all around. We loved the Terrace and the location of the hotel was perfect for walking around the city. Ideal walking distance to every place you would want to visit and explore.

I do feel that the additional charge for parking is unnecessary, but we did appreciate the convenience of the garage.
