Hampton Inn & Suites Williamsburg-Richmond Road

This hotel has very comfortable beds and that's saying something for me. I have spinal injuries and I need a soft bed which is hard to find in a hotel. The breakfast is very nice and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. This hotel is right in the center of town, close to the Jamestown and Yorktown tour that you shouldn't miss, and very close to Busch Gardens. The Fireside Chophouse is right across the street and has excellent food. Nice place to stay. Fair price.

I'm not sure if the exhaust fan in the bathroom didn't exist or wasn't working. The bathroom fogged up. But it was so comfortable in there and we enjoyed our stay.

Breakfast was typical of a hotel in this class, very adequate. Nice eating area. Love the maids, sweetest people!

All was good. This hotel was kept cleaner than many in Williamsburg, especially those that allow pets which was a main reason for our choosing it. Since I and the guests before me pay an up fee for “extra” cleaning for having a pet in the room I do expect an extra clean room not a sub par one. This hotel did much better than most in that area but, to be honest, the rug should be steam cleaned. Beds were very clean, crisp and comfy. Bath was good. Room had no unpleasant odors, definitely a plus.

Almost everything was great. I booked for a 2 queen bed thru Priceline and specifically requested for a top floor. When I checked in I was given my option and it was a huge room (to my surprise). We got a kitchen space (though not an actual kitchen where you can cook),separate living room space and separate room with 2 queen beds. Bed was comfy and clean so as the bathroom. Location is great as it’s only 15-20 mins away from Busch and water country. Breakfast needs more selection on hot foods( ex.add maybe bacon on top of sausage and eggs). Staff were courteous especially the house keeping and kitchen servers. Overall I’ll recommend this hotel.

Maybe some front desk staff needs to be more welcoming and approachable.

One difficult staff member on the desk at check-in. She gave us a room next to a food-truck outside our window whose motor went on and off, and up and down all night long. Instead of moving the truck, she said we could change our rooms However, we are elderly, exhausted from the trip, my husband just out of the hospital emergency room; and we were in bed. I guess it was too much to ask the trucker go to a truck stop or move his truck to the business next door that was closed. The trucker left at 5:30 am the next morning, so it could have easily been done. Very disappointed. All other staffers were very nice. I sent this same problem to the property with no response.

We had a nice stay with our dog and my MIL and we had adjoining rooms. There were a total of four of us staying in two rooms with a kitchen in between. The mexican restaurant next door was an added bonus! The beds are very comfortable with many pillows to choose from. The tempt of the room was easy to control and the breakfast was enough for us. We will come back.

Everything was fine for the price we were paying. I don't see anything I would change. I only wish I had known there was a pool and had brought my swimsuit. Next time.

The staff was friendly. The room was very large and beds were very comfortable. The lobby was clean and welcoming. The room was clean. Location was good and centrally located to everything.

No coffee available into the afternoon and evening hours and the room coffee.....YUCK!! Elevator was a bit "scary" with noises and bumps. The television channels didn't let you know what you were watching and no guide to know the channels. The bathroom didn't have a fan. Did not like that the bathroom sink area was not closed off to the bedroom. Getting out onto the road to go left towards the outlets was difficult at times.

It was clean throughout the property. Nice clean pool with plenty of towels, very friendly, helpful staff. Loved the suite and the adjoining room. Staff was helpful in offering the use of a bath chair if needed. We had family arrive late in the evening, staff gave us a courtesy call when they arrived. The security measure was appreciated.

Pricey for one night. The suite with a shower only, would not accommodate our sons wheelchair. However he was able to get into the adjoining rooms bathroom.

I liked the overall location of the hotel, it was essentially centrally located to everything we needed. The staff were nice and accommodating. The hotel was overall peaceful (except for us hearing the door to the stairwell close often). It's a family friendly hotel, but kids weren't all over the place. I would stay here again.

I didn't like having my room near the stairwell because I could hear the door constantly opening and closing all day and night. The drain in the tub drained very slowly when taking a shower and the water took a while to get hot and wasn't as hot as expected.

The breakfast had a smaller selection than some other hotels, but I feel like this helped them focus on the quality of the food rather than quantity. I enjoyed the shelving under the sink in the bathroom to store toiletries and beauty products, it was very helpful and not something you see a lot at other hotels. My daughter spilled a cup of juice during breakfast which we started cleaning up, but the staff came over promptly to take over and they were very kind about it. It was much quieter at night than a lot of hotels I've stayed at.

Breakfast was good: Liked the muffins, Great Decaf coffee all day. Room was very nice with a comfortable bed and good TV Location is central and easy to get to. Parking is plentiful. We were allowed to stay in the lobby for a few hours before an appointment.

Breakfast yogurt had only one choice, and not Low Fat. Breakfast had No bacon or sausage with eggs but did have a bologna-type meat (so-so). Lobby restrooms could have used a cleaning.
