Vacation Village at Williamsburg

Was charged $20 resort fee upon booking and then the front desk said they had to charge us $30 resort fee even though I showed proof of what was already paid. Scam! We didn’t even use any of the amenities but paid a total of $50.

I like the set up of the place. It is set up like a 2 story house, except there's an apartment on the ground level and an apartment upstairs. There is a washer and dryer on the upper level by the second apartment that is free to use.The place is in a quiet community and the grounds are maintained. They have everything you need for your convenience. The place is very cozy, and the beds are very comfortable.

Needs more trashcans. The trashcan in the large bathroom was not sitting out, I didn't know it was under the bathroom sink until the morning I left. You have to drive back to the lobby if you need tissue or garbage bags, etc. There was a little bit of trash sitting outside by the patio. The fireplace did not work, had to wait until the next day for maintenance to come and fix it. The TV in the second room did not have a clear picture. There was a dead bug on the floor of the first bathroom. The dryer takes a while to dry clothes thoroughly.

The place is beautiful. It has its own lil park, tennis courts, basketball courts, game room, jacuzzi and large indoor (year round) and outdoor (seasonal) pools. You only really need to leave to shop and eat because everything else is pretty much taken care of for the whole family and I have 7 so a regular hotel would be very cramped for my crew. The value was great I paid less than some big chain hotels in the area with the added benefits of 3 beds, 2bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a (working) hot tub and walk in shower, living room (w/ sofa bed) 3 TV's, and a full kitchen. ABSOLUTELY COULD NOT BEAT THIS PRICE (THIS WEEKEND because I know prices vary by the season etc.)

The beds were not great. A bit stiff, honestly felt like a cheap mattress not horrible but I definitely have slept in much better. Felt like a Motel 6 mattress but you'd expect that from them not here. Could have been a tad bit cleaner ( it was really clean however I think all the extra steps need be taken post covid. The little things that we could miss prior should not be missed now. Maybe my standard is impossible idk 😂 DO NOT LET this statement deter you. It's great here considering.) Oh yeah I hate the $100 incidentals fee because they do not tell you this upfront and to me that's part of the cost because you can't use it while you're there visiting. They will refund it at check out so be prepared for that. Ijs. That's it tho 🤣

check out is at 10 am, at 9:45 one of the staff rang the bell a few times asking when we were leaving. We were packing up our stuff to be out on time so it seemed rushed.

I hated being suckered into a timeshare presentation right at checking in, not being told how long the presentation would be which too ALL DAY of our second of two days. We walked around in swim wear and by the time we were done, it was raining. We did not even get to enjoy the pools! The presentation REQUIRED travel to different sites which is challenging because my husband and I both have mobility issues. We did not fully enjoy this beautiful resort. Want to come back soon.

Lots of space, comfortable rooms and excelent location. Love the idea they have a schedule with different activities for everyday of the week. I would love to try that in a longer stay next time.

The floors and carpets were very old and didn't look as clean as expected. Received a weird call from the main office asking if my husband was in the room and mentioning some "complimentary meals" but they could give me more information because my husband was not present and they only offer that if both husband and wife can give them feedback. Weird! So single moms wouldn't have a chance or are not as welcomed??

I own here and was coming for a wedding so it was nice to stay somewhere I know.

I asked for a first floor room which I got. I have difficulty with steps. Didn’t realize there would be steps into front door. Next time I will check about steps into front door.

There's an indoor and outdoor pool, jacuzzi tubs in the 2 bedroom unit, along with 2 bathrooms, the rooms are fairly clean and the staff is friendly. There's multiple playgrounds and the rooms are fairly big and equipped well with things you need during your stay.

My in-laws traveled with us, but got a separate room, was charged a "$30 registration fee" twice, it later was returned, I do not like the mandatory $150 security hold while you stay there, that returns after checkout in about 14 days. Our queen bed had dirty linens(they did change them after being called) my in-laws had a woman with a key card enter their room while they were in it. The beds are VERY stiff, giving two of the guests backaches while staying their and preventing them from getting a good nights sleep. Needs some updating, and some of the jets in the jacuzzi were broke. More pillows for the beds would be nice as well.

The “room” we booked turned out to be one entire level of a town home. Two big bedrooms, two full bathrooms, one with a jacuzzi tub, a living room with a fireplace, a dining area, and a full kitchen, and also a nice deck. Three televisions. Plenty of parking, in a quiet, wooded setting. There were lots of sidewalks, benches, picnic tables and grills. We didn’t use the pools but they looked nice. The property has a gate with security personnel at night. Many guests could be seen walking their dogs. Very clean and well maintained. Friendly, helpful staff. I’ve never given a hotel a 10 rating before but here it is, it’s a 10.

The sofa bed was about what you’d expect, but okay for kids. Consider bringing a duvet or something to make it a little more comfy. Found a toy and a couple pieces of candy in one of the rooms which makes me think the room may not have been cleaned perfectly, but we didn’t find anything actually dirty

I have visited this place many times, and each time, it's always the same. Very clean, very quiet, and very comfortable 👌 always enough fluffy, clean towels and wash rags. I love this place. Only thing I would recommend is that they upgrade on the televisions in each room. They are extremely small. I may be comparing them to the ones in my home but still. Other than that I have nothing but good things to say about this place.

They need to upgrade on the televisions. They are so small. I almost want to buy a TV to replace the ones they have.
