Adrift Hotel

The location and Adrift's philosophy and inclusiveness could not be better. Love that it is dog-friendly and LGBTQ+ friendly. The beds were firm but comfortable. The staff is beyond wonderful - competent and perfectly helpful.

Booking.com advertised an Ocean View room. In the annex, we could sort of see the ocean around the original hotel. The price quote on Booking said it included all taxes and two fees, yet Adrift charged an additional set of fees per night. The desk attendant said "Oh, we add our own fee on" Just what?? Fees discrepancy between Adrift and Booking.com was unnacceptable - Adrift should have honored Booking.com's rate! The wifi was spotty and kept dropping out. Communication needs to improve between Booking.com and Adrift as far as their fees and Booking's room descriptions-it is not obvious that there even is an Annex building.

Nice heated covered pool & sauna. Wonderful spa = we enjoyed hot stone massages for our anniversary.

There was no window covering of our view of ocean window in room 13 above pool house. So a light shined in all night. And there was a strange beeping in middle of night both nights = maybe alarm in adjoining room?? So we turned on ceiling fan so we didn't hear it as fan was pretty noisy. The beds are too firm for our liking too. We have memory foam at home.

Loved the location! The amenities were amazing! Bikes to rent, heated pool & spa, games, restaurant on the top floor offering room service! The kids enjoyed sleeping in the bunk bed in the second room. This property is situated extremely close to the beach & boardwalk which we loved! Great family location. Wasn’t noisy either!

Although the room could comfortably sleep 5 and the hotel restaurant offered room service, there was only a tiny table & 2 chairs inside the room. This created a problem when our family of four ordered room service & tried to eat inside our room. We know a lot of families may think to bring food with them (especially breakfast items) with the intention of eating inside the hotel but this wasn’t really doable in this set up unfortunately.

I love the location, the staff, the inclusivity, and the amenities. It’s my favorite spot to stay when we visit Long Beach. I was impressed by the distillery staff remembering my husband and I from our last trip. We are always excited to return as soon as we can.

The only issue was a broken blow dryer in our room, and I couldn’t dry out my wet shoes from walking the beach. I also didn’t bring it to the attention of staff, and if I had, I’m sure they would have responded as they always do—swiftly tending to the issue with care and mindfulness.

I love, love, love the location. It is the best to walk out the door and walk to the beach. Loved the pool and steam/sauna room. Bed was very comfortable and I love the window seat along the wall.

I was surprised at the cost increase. Our room has the industrial decor but parts look like it is under construction. The bathroom floor appeared like they had ripped up the flooring and then did not finish: did not polish the cement, did not finish the cement nor put down new flooring. Staff did their job at feeling polite and nice. Not overly friendly or personal feeling.

The beach is just outside the door of this place and one of the best restaurants in town is in the same building. I loved the window bench in the queen room. It was perfect for lounging and viewing the beach.

The walls are very thin. There is a game room on the second floor that is very loud and you can hear it in the rooms. It is also a pet friendly hotel and there are loud dogs that can be heard through the walls too. I do not recommend this place for a peaceful get away. It is not good for single people who want a quiet get away from pets or children.

Great location! Friendly staff. My kids loved the pool. I loved the bikes. The live band "The Horse Necks" at the Pickled Fish was awesome! Breakfast at the lobby was convenient. Liked the free coffee in the lobby. The staff at the distillery was knowledgeable and super friendly. My husband and I loved trying their in house made spirits. I took some cranberry liqueur home with me. So good!

The room was a little small and stuffy and we had a couple hiccups with check in and housekeeping.

Lovely pool, especially liked the adult swim hours, as kids were a bit wild in the pool. Has a sauna. Great room, but bathroom very tiny for a larger person 6 ft, 240 lbs. Comfortable mattress. I didn't have a beach view, but room high enough that I felt comfortable leaving the window open to hear the ocean. Decent walk to the beach though I was having difficulty with my knees and couldn't do it this time. Near access to horseback riding.

On site restaurant quality really fluctuates. Some really excellent food, some very average food for too much money. Small bathroom. Spa appts probably need to be reserved before you actually arrive.

There’s a writing prompt for this question that asks “how was breakfast”…was there breakfast? If so, it wasn’t offered to us, so that’s surprising…not in a good way. We loved the scavenger hunt, the coffee/tea station, free tasting next door, the board games around the fire place, the mattress topper was very comfortable, the toiletries offered were very nice and the room was decorated in a really cute way.

The pillows were too big and pretty lumpy, it would’ve been nice if the room could’ve been aired out before we checked in (it was smelly) and if the heat had been on at least a bit (it was very cold).

I was surprised by this property. it’s been redone and it very cute. We are a family of six (4 young children) and shared a queen suite. although it was small it had everything we needed. it was super clean and warm. the view was amazing and we watched the sunset from our beds. the pool and sauna area were exceptional. I loved that it was salt water. the lobby and amenities there were also charming and so lovely. the complimentary coffee was great. I even saw deer out the window in the morning. perfect location too.
