The Landing Resort

The facility was clean and comfortable. Location was good.

We were told, in our phone call to the facility prior to from home, that our room was a regular hotel room without a kitchenette. We had to unpack all the frozen and refrigerated food that we planned to bring prior to leaving for Door County. Upon arrival, we discovered that our room did, in fact, have a kitchenette with everything we needed. We had to eat all meals out, which was inconvenient, not something we do often, and expensive. The host attendant apologized and said they had a new girl that had only been there two weeks. Apparently, she answered the phone and gave us the wrong information.

It was within walking distance of the main downtown points of interest and next to the beach. Not only the perfect location in the small town, but the resort had several amenities fitted for couples and families. We played in the in-door pool when it was cold and rainy, played on the playground before walking across the street to get pizza and drinks at the Barrel. Behind the resort was a 4-min walk to the pier to catch the sunset or jump on the boat. Highly recommend this place if you're looking to stay Door County. The staff was courteous, and the place was very clean and spacious.

I didn't like the check-out time being at 10 am, mainly because we didn't want to leave! Oh, and the hair dryer worked for a 1 minute before it stopped, which reminded me I wasn't at home.

Everything! Courteous, friendly, helpful staff, clean and well maintained indoor and outdoor pools, hot tub. Outdoor propane grill, no lighter needed. Wooded area, yet less than 4/10ths of a mile walk to the beach, harbor or downtown ( via short trail to sidewalk). Parking lot for trailers. Large Outdoor open area with playground. Comfortable beds. Game area, with games. Video arcade. Perfect for a family. Blocks away from a very nice local grocery store that had everything we needed.

Overall, this place was great! I traveled with my pregnant wife and toddler, and all expectations were met: big enough space for the 3 of us, easy parking, food, drinks, shops and parks all within walking distance, and a pool for days when there was too much rain. And having coffee and tea in the lobby was an unexpected bonus.

If I had to nitpick, the room was a little musty and the beds weren't the most comfortable, , but that was to be expected in a lodge. I also wish there was a cart to bring things from the car to the lobby, but we were able to make due. Again, we knew this was a lodge and not a hotel, so most of this was expected :)

We stay here all the time. I like the fact it is walkable to the stores and restaurants in Egg Harbor.

The rooms are set up differently but in this case we had a two bedroom where the bathroom was tucked into the first floor bedroom so the persons staying in the loft bedroom has to go thru the first floor bedroom to get into the bathroom. Also the bathroom was so tiny the door hit the toilet when you closed or open the door. Odd arrangement.

We had a great stay! This is a little hidden gem that is easy to walk to all the downtown locations and the marina. We brought our boat and had two little kids and it was really nice not to have to get in the car to drive if you wanted to just grab a quick bite. The staff was super friendly and helpful! They have local coffee in the mornings which was amazing! I would just make sure you bring a travel mug with you (or you can buy one onsite). The rooms were clean and had a nice kitchenette area. I really appreciated they had bathtub/shower combos for the kids. They have a nice park area for the kids and a decent grassy area for playing!

The pull out sofa wasn’t super comfortable but it wasn’t the worst sofa bed either.

We were greeted as soon as we came inside by a friendly smile. Check in was quick and easy. The room itself was so clean and well kept. And staying at ground level was nice and a plus being able to enjoy the view of the grounds while relaxing with coffee.

The pillows were awfully flat. And the queen size room we stayed in was so uncomfortably small, to the point that one side is blocked in by half the length of a wall and the other may have roughly 12 inches of space. All in all I would just choose another room. Everything else was great.

The lady at the front desk was always very helpful and kind. The place was incredibly clean and well maintained.

When I thought I had forgotten my phone I ran back to our room where housekeeping was. They had some choice words about our stay. We had opened a couple of bottles of wine we had purchased throughout the day and apparently we were drunks & had our room “smell like nasty brewery”. Well, ok then.

The TV on in the lobby. If I were in charge, I would neither set a TV to Fox nor MSNBC. If you have to have a TV on, put on the Weather Channel or some home network. Bet still, turn it off.

The convenience of being across the street from grocery, brew pub and distillery was great! Access to the public beach and shops was also very convenient. Ample parking and free coffee and tea in the lobby. Indoor and outdoor pools!

The kitchens were JUST enough to get us going each morning and hit the road. It would be nice to have a little more equipment in the unit such as cutlery, glassware and plates/cups.
