Grand Geneva Resort and Spa

Beautiful location and the staff were phenomenal. We stayed in a Villa and it was lovely to be away from the main hotel and have our own space. Had a full spa day and even played 9 holes at The Brute while we were there. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed spending our anniversary here!

Our Villa was a little unusual and did not have a full length mirror, hangers, a closet or dresser drawer space. There's an interesting open concept for the closet, but storage is definitely limited. The in-suite kitchen was extremely convenient, but SO stocked that there was no room to store dry goods.

Location, location, location!!! I have been coming to grand geneva for over 10 years and I’m in love with that place! New furniture in the lobby and breakfast restaurant look fabulous. Private pool was a big plus. Great staff - everywhere - front desk,restaurant, spa!

Risotto that comes with scallops was slightly too salty and bacon wrapped dates were burned. Jacuzzi in Wells spa looked dirty - water had brownish color. The biggest disappointment was breakfast. Breakfast Buffett didn’t have the same great selections as it had before. There was no smoke salmon with capers, no bread-rolls or any other option besides croissants, no tasty waffle station- it used to be delicious(years ago), then they were swapped to cheap ones and eventually they were replaced with Grocery store donuts:( Me and my husband used to drive all the way from Chicago just to have delicious breakfast with the view - now it is just not worth the drive and the price.

The services received from several employees. They were absolutely wonderful and made my stay very enjoyable. Shout out to Homroy, Jennifer, Scott, Kendra and Allison who was very entertaining with the paint and slip. Also, I definitely don't want to forget our wonderful guide on the tour bus Margo, she was amazing. Having lunch with her was very nice. She's great. The spa was on point and something I will never forget.

The confusion regarding the bill at checkout. It wasn't straight forward. Payments that were made was missing from the invoice which seemed like my sister was charged twice. She couldn't really understand the charges. She paid gor the full 5 nights when we checked in. She also paid for the majority of the meals and activities as we go. But at the end the bill was extremely high which cause her to pay over an additional thousand dollars. Please keep in mine She paid over 1200.00 when we first checked in. She wasn't and still isn't happy with the explanation given. She believes she was overcharged. Please check into this for her. Card was under Agnes Shirley Parker room 4203. Thank you

The rooms were very nice; clean and very spacious. The staff here is top-notch. They are courteous, friendly and helpful. It is a beautiful campus that is well maintained. It is wonderful to have such a nice restaurant (Geneva Chophouse) and a little dance club on the campus.

The pillows were awful. Our mattress also seemed to be on it's last leg because there was a noticeable worn spot, like it had been slept on too many times. I wish there was more information in the room about where the ice machines were. They don't have one on every floor, which is fine, but there should be something stating were we could find them, especially since the place is so large. We did ask someone and were told, so it worked out.

Lunch in cafe & room service was very good. The yoga instructor at the fitness center was also very good. The spa treatments & staff were excellent .

We would have liked a microwave in room & freezer was not working well -out ice cream melted. We were somewhat disappointed with the chophouse food or underwhelmed -Brussels sprouts were burnt & most items were over seasoned. Glad updating is taking place - we enjoy coming here but were commenting that housing was getting run down & out dated.

Lovely property.

There was a conference bring held at the facility that had their social get together on the lawn outside our room - two nights in a row. Very loud, noisy - the people and the music. And the hotel lounge (which was inside and on an outside patio) had music going until almost 2 AM. Would have appreciated the checkin staff alerting us to this noise potential and to offer a room farther away from the social functions.

The service here was a little slower than I'm used too. That's not a negative! That's Wisconsin. I will say that the staff, and there were many interactions, was EXCELLENT! Every single one of them. This wasn't my first rodeo, but I will say it was the best, most courteous, professional service I have had the honor of experiencing. We'll be back!

Frankly, I can't think of a thing!

I went to Grand Geneva Hotel for the Christmas weekend, and it was an amazing surprise! It exceeded my expectations in terms of decoration, Christmas activities for kids, live music at the bar on the 24th and very good food - both in the special dinner and also during breakfast.

Rooms are outdated and beds are very small. I know they have plans to update the rooms so hopefully this will happen soon so the entire experience can be awesome.

Very clean, and I enjoyed the retro vibe, and the history of it being a Playboy Club. Too bad they've hidden all that away. The trolley drivers and front desk staff were super!!!

I wasn't thrille with room service options at all. The Timber Lodge waterpark being extra after paying 400.00 a night was a bit disgusting as well. The food and service in the Grand Cafe wasn't the best either. Typical resort faire.

I liked that the staff texted shortly after we arrived to let us know we could reach out if we were in need of anything. We actually were assigned a room that was ADA accessible which wasn’t what we had booked... which however, wouldn’t have been a problem, but the shower was leaking. I let them know and they sent engineering and it was fixed immediately. They also offered to move us to a different room after the first night (they were fully booked) which we accepted and were glad we did because the shower didn’t have much water pressure. Our new room was perfect! Nice little balcony, nice sized room, great shower, great location. The outdoor pool was very nice with a spectacular view of the golf course. The spa and fitness center were great too. All 3 restaurants featured fresh diversified items prepared to order and beautifully presented. The lounge bar service team has knowledgeable, friendly staff with a number of tasty cocktail choices, as well as live entertainment with a piano/singer. It was obvious that they were not overly staffed and that multiple associates crossed over various positions...however this never effected their focus on service and helpfulness.

There is nothing really that we didn’t care for.
