Kyriad Rouen Centre

I had a problem with my Credit Card when I tried to pay on arrival. I contacted Visa and the problem was resolved and I paid by the card later in the day. On checking my card at 05:45 the next morning I noticed that 2 payments of €89.10 was deducted from my card. I spoke to the receptionist and he checked his computer and he said that only one payment was deducted. I contacted Visa this morning and they confirm that 2 payments were deducted. I have emailed the Kyriad Hotel this morning asking for a refund and so far I have received no response. As the booking was through Booking.com can you contact the hotel and arrange for the refund. I was staying in room 416. PLease let me know what is the situation!!! Michael Connolly.

Great location for seeing the old quarter and all the restaurants in the area. The member of staff at reception was very helpful and sorted out a place for me to park an extra long car with bike rack attached. Was just an overnight stay before catching a ferry home so didn't get to try Breakfast or other facilities. Rouen was much nicer than I expected so would stay longer next time.

Whilst they had secured underground parking the access was so tight you are unable to get enough room to turn anything other than a normal car. 4x4 or anything with a bike rack wasn't going in.

The communal areas are really nice. Price was excellent. Location was great and the staff were very helpful. Overall I would recommend.

Criticisms are that the rooms were a bit scruffy. Although I do think that the price we paid reflected that. It was excellent value for money. The air conditioning that was advertised didn’t work and one of the lights in the room was broken so it was a bit gloomy and stuffy. We only stayed for one night so it didn’t matter.

The location was perfect, short walk from the centre of you like walking. The private parking is a treat in a big city like Rouen so it was really appreciated. The receptionists were all very responsible and kind.

I didn't like the lack of liability and behaviour from the guy at the bar, I asked him some ice cubes and I was told this would have been ready in 10 minutes. I was expecting this to be brought to my room, but instead I was asked to come down to take it after 10 minutes. When I came downstairs after about 10 minutes, the guy was talking at his mobile phone and notwithstanding he had seen me, he kept talking ignoring me. I kept waiting but he was still talking, until finally after 10-15 minutes the girl at reception came to tell him to give me the ice cubes. I found this behaviour unprofessional.

Staff on reception very friendly and helpful despite being busy. Beds comfortable. Very good location - easy walk to centre of Rouen. Great parking facilities. Very good value for money. Shower was reasonable.

Room was dark and gloomy. But for the price I found that acceptable as it was clean and comfortable and that is what we needed.

Good value, comfortable bed, aircon which was great as it was a hot, humid night. Good basic continental breakfast with plenty of food available. The room was very clean. Secure underground parking for a little extra cost.

Hotel could have better signage, preferably illuminated, as we drove past it 3 times before spotting it, we arrived late in the evening after dark.

2 caffe machines, big dining room, quite, no running TV inside.

Very limited breakfast options. No eggs (boiled/scrambled/omlet), no vegetables. Only 1 taste of juice (second was "empty"), no yellow cheese.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Spoke very good English which helped us a lot. Very lovely and will return

It would have been better if we could have reserved a car parking space at the time of our booking for peace of mind purposes. This was not possible.....
