MEININGER Hotel Berlin Hauptbahnhof

The personel was really sympathetic and tried to help when I needed. The rooms could be cleaned better. (for instance: I stayed for 3 days and table never was cleaned in these days and the dusts on the ground never were removed)

There was a snoring person in the room. It was different level, believe me. Even just 1 second, I could not sleep. Furthermore, I lost my energy and got depressed. Not to allow people to suffer on their vacations; I recommend that it would be right thing to find out who may snore and who may be voice sensitive by asking questions during the booking. Thus, you are able to put the people who snore at the same room. Most probably, they will not disturb each other because they feel same.

Hotel was situated near the venue where I had to be so that was great. The area in which the hostel is located is also clean and safe to be around. Next to the hotel is a subway so it is easy to travel to. On the other side of the hotel there is even a bio supermarket so getting food is also very easy.

This hostel has a guest kitchen downstairs but it is very small and if multiple people are there it can be cramped. Also it's in the basement so you can't enjoy a nice view as the one on the ground floor. But if you ask nicely they will probably allow you to eat your food there.

Im not a big fan of bunk beds but thankfully I had great roommates (Salomon and Tatou) and they both were really nice and maintained the room fresh. the guy who came after stank up the whole room and didn’t want to open the windows. thank I left next day for Amsterdam.

Myself and my daughter chose this hotel to launch our European '5 cities in 10 days tour'. The check in was quick and efficient, we were able to get a drink in the bar even though it was after midnight. The room was basic but very clean and due to the door being very sturdy, our belongings felt very secure. We were both surprised at how quiet it was in the room, as it felt quite busy downstairs, we were pleasantly surprised. We chose to pay for breakfast and this was a very good offering on both days. The bar was pleasant in the evening and we noted there was a guest kitchen available which looked clean and presentable (although we did not use this). On the second day we stored our cases in the pay lockers, we feel this is a really helpful service and it was 4 euro per locker for 6 hours. Finally, all staff encountered were friendly and helpful and in terms of location- it was absolutely perfect for the station. The city tourist bus also collects directly outside the hotel, a massive bonus for us, as i had booked this in advance. Overall, a great experience. The only thing that could have improved this is tea/coffee making facilities in the room, as the price was relatively cheap, this is no reason to not book this hotel.

If i was picky i'd say the view from the room as it looked toward the train tunnel, and the room was a bit small, but we didn't visit Berlin to stay in the room, so this is not a complaint at all.

Location is amazing. You are 2 minutes from your room to the train station. Rooms are a little small and uncomfortable. The shared kitchen was under renovation and we didn't received a notification about it. Other than that rooms were clean and checked in and out was super easy.

I was in multiple bedroom (4 bed). Good forniture, nice bathroom, really clean, nice view from the window. There is a free wifi without password (so it's really easy to connect without registering or whatever). The position of this hotel is perfect to move around the city and it's near a lot of important places of Berlin. The staff was good and friendly too. I really recommend this place for your vacation in Berlin.

The only thing that I didn't like is that it was a little bit too warm in the room during the night and the conditioner wasn't working, but I think it was more warm then it usually is in Berlin during the same period (really high temperatures). In any case it was possible to stay and sleep in the room without sweating or other problems.

Check-in was smooth. The receptionists were kind. The proximity to Berlin central station is the main advantage of staying at this location. Even at night, you will have trains, trams, and busses returning back to your place with short walk from the central station. And our ICE train also arrived and started from the central station. We wanted to visit East, West, North West of Berlin. So, the location was the key for selecting this place.

Bathroom door knob was not securely fixed and was flying. Also, no cleaning/changing of the bed sheet for all three nights, only emptying of trash cans. That was kinda expected since this is a hostel, not a hotel. Still the price of more than 160 per night (for two-bunkbed room) was a bit much.

The location was excellent, nice/youthful atmosphere.

The pillows had been used for too long, the beds were a bit narrow for comfort.

This Meininger is really close the Railway station Good staff and reception people are helpfully, friendly, orientated This my stay was 2 nights and everything was good. Roommates only ask for misding lockers in room, there are no one, but in storage room should be suitcase given. Room is there always clean and comfy.

Missing storage locker box in room Bar is in the morning close, if you want only coffee before leaving. A little dangerous space in front of hostel, taxi cars, groups of guests, schools, young customer groups..tiny space...a little fight to come inside lobby or can go out from hostel...

Receptionists were really perfect. We booked 4-guest-room first. However, it was not comfortable to stay 4 people at the same room. Then we applied to receptionist lady to separate it as two rooms for 2 guests each. They separated it and did not demand any extra money. On the other hand, because our 4-guests-room was a bit cold for the first day before separating us, they provided us free breakfast as the compensation of this situation. This was really professional and made us very satisfied in terms of hospitality and accommodation service. If I come to Berlin again, I would definitely stay here... Perfect location, 1-minute-walk to Hauftbahnof train station. Clean rooms. Cosy atmosphere of the hotel. You can stay here with no reservation whatsoever.
