Comfort Hotel Bernau

The reason this property didn't get 10/10 is because of the cigarette smell everywhere inside. The tall man who repair things there or overseas repair seem to be a chain smoker. He sits in the little area near the dining area and smokes so he stinks and the whole hallways stinks because the smoke seeps thru. Smokers shouldn't be allowed to smoke anywhere inside or near doors or windows for it good into your room and you stay sneezing and coughing. For me, its suffocating. One female guest was extremely loud with her apparent one night stand. Talking in the hallways after 10pm can be very loud because the walls are thin but the staff are willing to help. This events were distracting while i work or sleep but I pushed thru. The staff were amazing. Very good breakfast. Ladies in dining are very attentive and organised. However, the second hand smoke puts the guests at a very unhealthy risk.

The smoke coming thru the windows, in the hallways as you enter the building. Its awefully suffocating.

I stay at this hotel quite often. Mainly for business purposes. I don't spend too much time in it. Only overnight. For me it is conveniently located with a good breakfast. Rooms comfortable enough. Staff always polite. Oh and there is free parking.

I go there often enough to accept the hotel. I don't have any negative comments.

Room and facilities exceptionally clean. Whatever they are paying their cleaners, it is not enough! They did a fantastic job. Room was well equipped with everything you would need but not too much, yet there were little extras like a shoe horn and some wipes to clean your eyeglasses. And a coffee/tea facility. Breakfast was excellent; I wasn't even hungry until late in the afternoon. I am a single woman traveler and I felt very safe there; it is not in a scenic neighborhood, but in a middle class residential neighborhood that was well kept and well-lit. There is a petrol station and a Chinese all-you-can-eat buffet restaurant just right across the street, so very convenient for those traveling by car and/or with a family of teenagers! Good location because close to the Autobahn.

Good "old German" service at its best quality, location probably not their best selling point but easily reachable by car that well suited to me

Direct exit to the parking area was through smoking room - and that wasn't very pleasant to go through that room

it was clean and comfortable.. breakfast was very good,. staff were helpful if you are looking for somewhere close to Berlin, accessible by train, S2, it is the tops.

Hotel has no stairs so absolutely not good for disabled or baby carriage (in my case) and none there offered help to carry it three floors. Same with entrance : stairs with no help to hold door or carry baby carriage.

Nice breakfast. Friendly staff.

Room was rather hot. Lots of stairs to climb. Pillows were rather hard.

The personal was polite. The breakfast was fine. There was a free parking. We stayed for one night only.

I was more than pleasantly surprised at this gem of a hotel. Just when we needed a booking for an emergency stay they came through with flying colours. I would like to commend the staff for their courtesy and helpfulness.
