Opikopi Guest House

The staff of Opikopi went out of their way to help us accommodate our wishes. They made us feel that they cared. However, some issues couldn’t be solved. We stayed twice in the guesthouse with some days away in between. We were able to leave our suitcase there for the second leg of our stay and also got a better accommodation for the second part of our stay.

Weak WiFi in many places that couldn’t be fixed although staff promised to look after it. We chose the place for the pool. It turned out that the swimming pool is awkwardly placed right next to the restaurant which exposes swimmers and sunbathers to the direct views of all restaurant guests. Swimming pool water was murky, we couldn’t see the bottom of the (not so deep) pool. A robot was constantly working inside the pool and staff confirmed that they do their utmost to clean it. I didn’t swim. The water looked the same every single day of our relatively long stay (7 nights in total), i. e. not inviting. A real pity.

I like the design and the procedures of the OGH, and also I like how the Staff are handeling the service, at the first hours of my staying at the Opikopi Guest House and the restaurant I was thinking that I am at unfamiliar place but after view hours I realized that the Opikopi Guest House and the restaurant and the all team of the OGH are Wonderful People and perfetc place Thnaks and appreciate

Everything was amazing. Staff very welcoming, the ambiance. The restaurant!!! OMG, great food all arround. At dinner We tried the complementary focaccia, the burguers, pizza, and dessert, and all was lovely At Breakfast We tried the egg Benedict, croissant with minced meat and French toast also lovely

This is my go-to place when in Pretoria. I was personally welcomed by management, and even received an upgrade of my room. The location is excellent, and close (but not too close) from the highway which means easy access. The dinner was excellent and the service even better. Then there is the breakfast - outstanding. Check-out fast, and all done with a friendly smile! Superior service.

Loved the fact that there was an excellent restaurant on site - especially after a full and long Day’s work. We didn’t have to go anywhere to find food. Staff were awesome. The room had a microwave, fridge, kettle and coffee machine.

The cupboard in the bedroom only provided hanging space for short shirts. Dresses couldn’t hanged in the cupboard. There was also no shelf space in the cupboard.

I did not have breakfast at Opikopi, but did have supper twice and their food was both good and beautifully presented. They have a great wine selection with good variety and some excellent wines. My room was very comfortable and well thought out. I could see that thought went into the decor with small, nice touches everywhere in the room. I had small kitchenette & good quality coffee & machine in my room. Natasha was professional & polite and happy to assist with any request, nothing was too much trouble for her - certainly an asset to Opikopi.

Parking is tight and beds, even though extremely comfortable, could be extra length.

The location of the guesthouse is excellent for the area we need to be in. There is still power when it is loadshedding. We had dinner at the on-site restaurant - which was very delicious. The second night we ate there as well. We had a very good sleep - the bed was very comfortable.

There is not enough on-site parking when the restaurant is busy and have outside guests. When we stay somewhere, we don't want to park outside the property.

Lovely big room with a very comfortable bed. The security guard, Johan went out of his way to help and gave an excellent first impression as we arrived.

The restaurant service was extremely slow for both dinner and breakfast. They have fancy little buzzers on the tables to ring the servers watch but our buzzing didn't seem to get noticed. The food was very tasty when it arrived but it was a long wait. The staff were friendly but should maybe just pop past the tables to let patrons know if there's a delay.

special mention to the management and staff that went far beyond their duty by accommodating our request to be moved to a different room. what a pleasure and an absolute pleasant stay - our room was fantastic, the food the restaurant = magnificent - it was a special time for us and i highly recommend Opikopi to anyone looking for 5 star treatment

not your doing but the noisy generator

Staff always friendly and helpful. Amazing restaurant and great wifi. The kitchenette is an added bonus. Our favorite place to stay in pretoria.

We stayed in room 01 that was a bit noisy at night and early in the morning since it's close to the hall pass and other room doors. The safety door gate is a bit of a hassle to open so it makes noise for other guests . Because of the rain, our room had a power outage on the all the wall sockets, interrupting the wifi, TV, air-conditioner. The staff was diligent to help us out and solve the problem, which they did later at night. And then a check up in the morning
