Aparto-Hotel Rosales

The apartment was huge with tons of space for two people. It was well-appointed with a television in both the sitting room and bedroom. Bed (twins pushed together) was comfy and we had a good couple of night’s sleep. Air-conditioning worked well and, even with the road below buzzing, it was nice and quiet in the room. Loads of hot water and a super powerful (if a bit old) shower. Kitchenette is fine for cooking a rudimentary one/two pot or microwaveable dinner, but a bit lacking in equipment - no kettle and only a modicum of utensils. Location is great with the Arguelles metro station less than 5 mins away. El Corte Ingles is just around the corner (nice restaurant on the top floor) and the teleferico, the parque de oesto and El Faro de Moncloa are a stone’s throw away. The staff are friendly and accommodating and it’s reassuring knowing that the door is manned 24x7. We felt very safe and secure there.

The entire property is of an age that makes it feel a bit dated for 2023. Every effort is clearly made to ensure that the place is very clean and comfortable for the guests,but stylistically it’s just somewhat anachronistic and some parts do show their age. If revamps of the bathrooms simply aren’t possible, then a few simple additions like a kettle, a decent set of cutlery, wine glasses and some proper kitchen utensils would take the entire apartment up a notch. However, these aren’t massive negatives and we would certainly be more than happy to make a return visit.

I loved everything about Apar-Hotel Rosales. From the moment you go in you feel the warmth of the place. Staff is polite and with a willing disposition. We had an spacious apartment with kitchenette which was cosy, comfortable and furnished to a very good standard. It even had a balcony. Whilst outside it was incredibly hot, inside provided an oasis in which to freshen up rest and relax. The Aircon worked great without being too noisy. Also very good insulation, you can't hear the traffic outside or most street noises. Location is great with shops and restaurants nearby, metro station 5 minutes on foot as well as a 10 minute walk to Moncloa station with all buses etc. I will be back! Thank you Mercedes and all staff for making us feel at home.

There wasn't anything I didn't like. It would have been nice to have a coffee maker in the apartment though

One bedroom and one living room enough to sleep 3-4 people. The kitchenette was convenient and the hotel thoughtfully provided everything necessary to prepare a simple meal. There were lots of stores and restaurants nearby. It was only a 5 minute walk from the supermarkets and metro. Parque del Oeste was a 4 minute walk in the opposite direction where you can ride a cable cart, enjoy the rose garden, visit Temple of Debod, see Catedral de la Almudena and Royal Palace of Madrid from a far, etc.

There was no shower curtain. The glass barrier was not big enough to prevent water from getting all over the bathroom floor.

It is bout 3 blocks away from metro and Calle de la Princesa; 5 minutes walk to 2 decent sized and reasonably priced supermarkets (Aldi and Dia). The balcony opens up to a street view. There are lots of stores and restaurants nearby. The bathroom has a bathtub and a walk-in shower, perfect for a room that sleeps 3-4 people. The walk-in shower is especially convenient for my elderly family members. The kitchenette is very convenient; the hotel thoughtfully provided everything (pan, pots, dinning ware, and utensils) we needed in order to prepare a simple meal.

There were roaches in the kitchenette. The shower's water temperature was unstable; it would get really cold for a second then really hot the next.

By priority: 1. Cleanliness - clean room, clean toilet and shower. 2. Staff - kind, welcoming, willing to help. Everyone. 3. Quiet. A metro station is nearby. A bus stop is nearby. Close to the hotel: Kurt Ingels, Zara, Oisha. A bus stop is nearby, where a free bus runs. A little far from the center. we knew . You can get anywhere by metro.

This is the place to stay for a long visit, away from the noisy areas of town but very near many bus routes to get anywhere within a comfortable half hour bus ride. Note: all buses are totally accessible including an automatic ramp. Impressive!!

Staff could have been more actively helpful in searching for information on the web in Spanish which we do not speak.

Everything was very satisfactory; the location (many shops, restaurants metro nearby), the room (good size), bed (very comfortable), bathroom (good size and bidet). I liked that the room temperature control works well and there is a kitchenette with sink & microwave and also the bathroom has a bidet.

The parking is very small & tight especially if you have big car or minivan. There is no elevator to parking garage. There is no breakfast.

Easy pre arrival communication. The room was clean, safe & comfortable and has everything we needed. We able to walk to the city center and most attractions, restaurants, shopping, supermarkets within a few minutes. The kitchennet has everything we needed. Metro station is less than 10 minutes away. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

No hot water kettle to boil water, we had to use the microwave. Parking is very small & tight.

Superb apartment with extra large and comfortable king size bed in a very large bedroom. Excellent furnishings thoughout and a fully equipped kitchen area. Large lounge area with large TV. Luxury bathroom with good lighting. Good balcony, overlooking the street below with pavement cafes. The whole suite was exceptionally clean and comfortable. We will definitely stay here again.

The parking spaces in the garage are very narrow, making it very difficult to get in and out of the car. We had gone in an Opel Zafira, thankfully, as we wouldn't have been able to park our Mitsubishi L200.

the apartment was big, clean with everything that we needed. we felt like home.

the guy from the reception was impolite, yelling at 2 guests (women) in front of us when we did the check in. A day before our departure we requested a late check out. the guy said that it is impossible because the hotel is fully booked. Next day, we saw that other people checked out late, at around 3pm when we went to pick up our language. I have checked on booking and there were at least 2 free apartments for that night. So I realized we were lied in the face. I went upstairs and told him that I can see online that there are free apartments. he was speachless. I don’t find it professional to lie your customers in their face! He could just told us the truth!!!
