ibis Styles Canberra

The room was neat & tidy with 2 beds, quiet location *note: cleaning service is every 3 days, bus stop was handy just out the front. Reception is 24 hours and the restaurant/bar is opposite reception. Uber to Woden cost around $20 to the bus interchange and Westfield. A taxi from the airport was $37 on a Saturday morning. A pleasant place to stay, nice suburb, would stay here again.

I wasn't aware of a handy shop near Ibis if needing anything.( Shopping centres easy access by bus). The bathroom products are nice but in a large pump style bottle and it is not visible if running low and unable to remove. One product was empty.

The whole experience was great. Check in was so easy. The night girl was so helpful and clear on everything.The beds are so comfortable. It made falling asleep so easy. The choice for breakfast was so nice. The fruit was fresh and not tinned. Juice was cold and not room temp. and the dinner menu WOW. Amazing variety and so yummy too

The only gripe I have is that the coffee machine for breakfast doesn't make nice coffee. I was so glad that we could get one from a barista. Oh and some extra sugar in the rooms would be good. Most people have 2 sugars per cup and when there is only 3 sugars it doesn't really work.

The room was clean and tidy as was the the bathroom. The restaurant that's I the hotel was good and the staff where so lovely. Rood at the restaurant was good. The buffet breakfast was amazing!

There was no menus for the room service in the rooms I had to go looking for one in the reception area. We also packed up our stuff and went for breakfast at restaurant which was buffet style ( loved it ) and when we returned to our room so the kids could go to the toilet. The cleaners had already started cleaning but he hadn't checked out yet. Was weird. But other then that it was lovely.

Had I not stayed here before, Ibis Styles would have exceeded my expectations. I stayed here on a previous trip in 2020 (just pre-pandemic!) and it was so good I chose to stay here again. Excellent quality everything! Free Wifi was very convenient as I had brought my laptop from home and was able to attend to a few things. My trip this time was by road from Adelaide. Staff were very friendly and helpful especially when I asked about extending my stay from the original 5 nights to 9 and that was done easily. They even recommended I do this on line to get a better deal and I really appreciated that. No need to change rooms either. Used Room Service once for dinner and there was enough food for me to have for dinner the next night as well. I lived in Canberra from 1977 to 1997 and already knew that the location at Narrabundah is excellent, close to everything a tourist might want to see. Mine was more of a personal trip to catch up with people. Although a couple of friends had offered accommodation, I chose Ibis Styles so that I could come and go as I please without inconvenience to anybody. Good cost enabled me to do this. Staying on ground floor suited me as I am a bit mobility impaired and stairs would have been difficult. Free car park is handy as well. I recommend Ibis Styles highly. A friend outside Canberra asked me if they have conference rooms and they do.

No complaints

Proximity to family and city. Did not use facility food. Room clean, spacious, good amenities all working properly . Mostly close to room parking.

Absolutely no room service. Spent five days/nights here. No bed making or linen changing. Rubbish bins not emptied at anytime. No cleaning. We are not dirty at all however if there are no hotel services provided then you need to provide cleaning materials and vacuum, etc. Not especially quiet in the mornings. Woken 5.30 to 6.30am on three occasions by shower in a neighbouring room.

The breakfast was excellent because of variety to choose from; one can eat as much as one can. The staff were helpful when I had to cancel one room and gave me a contact phone number on how to do it which was refunded by PayPal to my account 2 days later. They then transferred us to a spacious room with 2 beds at no extra cost. We also extended our stay an extra night; we were only charged $20 extra on top of the booked price of the room. The hand monitor of the air conditioner was not working. They rectified it asap when informed about the problem.

The rooms did not have table lamps.

We were able to arrive late - Reception open 24hrs. Beds were comfortable. Window which was able to be opened. 11am checkout.

Second floor room with no elevator available. - Will request a ground floor room when booking next time. Plenty of nearby parking spaces this stay - none last time we stayed. The back overflow parking area with no lighting did not seem safe for 2 females & a child who arrived late at night so we parked beside the driveway which was well lit. Exhaust fan in bathroom not working - thankfully the bedroom window was able to be opened. Shower over bathtub... Had to get into the tub to turn the water on for young child's shower.

The staff were lovely. We had a minor incident on our first night when my 11yo daughter tripped on something accidentally dropped by the cleaning staff. She only had received carpet burns but the staff repeatedly checked on us to see if she was ok and if she needed any additional medical attention. It was first class. From the receptionist (who l probably spoke to a little gruffly to the GM, the staff were fantastic. Room was clean and the breakfast was fantastic value with kids eating free. Will definitely be staying again at Ibis Styles Canberra in the future.

The pool was great but my daughter really wished it was heated. Lol.

First of all the hospitality, friendliness and helpfulness of the staff were exceptional. I felt very comfortable in the luxury of my accommodation which was upgraded by Erin and her team. Erin also offered to help with my luggage and told me about the delicious breakfasts, which I very much enjoyed and paid far less than elsewhere. It was a full buffet hot breakfast with quite an array of fresh fruit as well. There is no other hotel where I would rather stay in Canberra and I have tried a few. Just loved it : spacious, quiet, luxury pillow top mattresses, marble bathroom, sofa, large TV, desk and kitchenette.

great size room, comfortable bed

Travelling with pets for a competition, no outside bins to poo bags, no lids on bins inside, no green area to walk dogs. information online about restaurant incorrect and not updated. no area to take dogs to eat at restaurants, therefore had to eat in my room, no room service for breakfast. tried to ask a couple of staff questions about restaurant and they could not speak English. (not having a go at them, but a small amount of English would have been a good help.)
