Really great concept which reminded me a lot of the Motel Makeover from Netflix with the rosé all day / summery vibe. Lock box was easy to access. Very cute decor and I really liked the hand drawn local map! Bed was really comfortable and room was a great size. The kitchen sink and cooking facilities are really helpful for those needing to cook their own meals. The wall mounted soaps, shampoo and conditioner are lovely!

This is constructive criticism only! This is a great place! - A bit hard to see off the highway. Might just need a bigger sign or ask the neighbouring property to trim the trees back. - Being an older property there are a few things that would need doing over time to improve. Shower area/bathroom roof probably need an update. - Bathroom had a window that was unable to be shut at all which made it really cold getting out of the shower. - Signal for the tv wasn’t very strong so it was quite patchy. - Walls aren’t soundproof which may be a problem for light sleepers

Stayed in the Bungalow (the separate cottage) with my family for my 35th birthday. More than generous fenced in yards (front and back!) meant little ones were safe to run around, and the multiple entertaining areas gave the older ones variety and space to spread out. A tasteful retro fit out with all the mod cons, provide the perfect blend of beachside nostalgia with creature comforts. The team at Chalet were super helpful and friendly, stopping by to check in and ensure we had all we needed. Highly recommend if looking for a group or family stay in Bruns!

On the edge of town so a longer walk to the beach, but Bruns isn't a big town and the walk is flat. It's actually a nice to take in the side streets and wander the local stores. Front room is noisy, due to the main road, so light sleepers should take residence in the back.

Cosy motel room which has been stylishly renovated. The bed was super comfortable. The products in the bathroom were high quality. Great to have knives and forks available to use. The special touches around the property such as the water/sparkling water tap at the bbq, map and things to do around town were fantastic! Just a short walk into town.

The bathroom could fit a shelving unit or something to hold toiletries/make up. There wasn’t a lot of room to store those things

The room was clean and tidy, bed was comfortable, and great that there was a kettle, toaster and fridge to use. Small touches like the little map of Brunswick was handy for us. The location was great, short walk to shops or short drive to the beach.

Not anything huge, probably only that the bathroom still needs a little Reno work done (missing tiles etc). But it was all still clean tidy and I’m working condition.

Stayed in the self-contained 3 bed 'bungalow'. It was like home away from home. Accommodated myself, my sister, my daughter, and my three grand daughters very well. Having a whole house was great, and it was clean, modern, well equipped, and very comfortable. I'd definitely stay here again as I found it to be excellent value.

The bin men come on a Monday morning, shortly after 7am, so if you're after a lay-in, take earplugs! Lol 😆

Layout of the room was great, very comfortable yet stylish! Does not feel like a motel at all! Loved the toiletries on offer in the shower; brought a very luxe feel.

Where our room was situated meant that the parking spot was in the corner, and unfortunately our neighbours took up more space than required. This meant it was very hard to get in and out of the spot. Would recommend giving guidance/markings for each car space to prevent this from happening in future :)

Clean and cosy, perfect for a short stay. The pillows blankets sheets and towels where so soft and comfortable. The room is deocrated nicely and the location is great, we could walk everyhwere we wanted to go.

The bed was a little small for my partner who is pretty tall, and small in comparison to other accomodation we have stayed in. It was not the most comfortable bed but was fine for 1 night.

Position, clean room, welcoming lighting,spacious room. Was upgraded to king room.

parking was very tight, no microwave and with dinner option in town poor, would have like to heat take away. While visually pleasing the corner is very impractical, the cow hide is a trip hazard, straight out side the bathroom. Pillows need attention. Question on Booking.com re staff needs up dating as 50% of booking over 5 weeks we did not set eyes on any staff, any communication had been by text.

The accomodations are so beautiful and welcoming. I was expecting a motel but it was so lovely and comfortable and the owners have definitely done everything possible to rejuvenate an old motel into a beautiful little oasis.

The fact that we couldn’t stay longer and take advantage of the facilities - especially the bikes and beautiful courtyard and hammock

Very relaxed and friendly staff. Great little motel with oodles of style and it’s simply just really cool! Salt water pool and communal area really great. Good location. Lots of little things that made it great: sparkling water on tap at communal area, Malin&Goetz toiletries, great coffee table books, push bikes for use, local recommendations on where to eat etc …

From a family with small children (3yo and 2yo) - it was quite tricky to keep the 2yo safe as he could easily run outside the room (family room has a sliding door that he was able to easily open) into the parking area (cars coming and going) and then onto a busy main road. The motel itself isn’t gated/enclosed in a way that is toddler safe (however the salt water pool is definitely securely gated) - this was certainly not an expectation of ours - just something that an exhausted Mom notices when constantly trying to stop a toddler from killing themselves and perhaps something for other families with adventurous toddlers to consider. We stayed for four nights so it was more of an issue for me when solo parenting for some of the stay 🙈
