I loved the excellent location (ocean views Right there!) and the pleasant atmosphere throughout the lobby, restaurant/bar and room. It was clean, fresh and inviting. The room was the perfect size for me as I was staying for work and did not need a kitchen or similar. The little barfridge and kettle was everything I needed for my cup of tea. Then there was plenty of dinner options right on my doorstep, from pizza to Lebanese and everything in between.

There wasn't anything I didn't like. It was all a lovely experience. Something to note for those it may impact, the streets below come alive at night with all the bars etc which of course creates some noise, so you may need to keep the balcony doors closed if thats not your thing.

Nice clean hotel, very central. Short walk from train station. Close to beach. Close to Club Cronulla for reasonably priced decent meals. Comfortable bed. Staff helpful. We stayed 4 nights mid March. Had a room on the 5th floor. Beautiful ocean view from our balcony BUT we had a late summer heatwave with 34 degree days during our stay and it was way too hot to be out on that balcony until after lunch when the sun had passed. The air-con inside our room kept us cool. There is a pool at the hotel which we did not use, but could view from our balcony. We requested a toaster and a microwave and both were provided.

The silly modern showers they install these days, where there is NO door and the water leaks out all over the bathroom floor. Hotel situated on a busy corner, so there is traffic noise all day - but it does quieten at night. If the balcony door is kept shut then the noise in minimal and it's not an issue day or night.

The location exceptional. Room lovely. Breakfast nice.

No room service for meals. Separate space to have dinner and be able to have a conversation would be great. Too noisey being shared space with bar. Room service for meals would take care of that issue. An induction about services and facilities and health and safety issues would be great or booklet/leaflet to read would be appreciated. There seems to be no shortage of staff that could perform this function. This could include local attractions. A small table to sit at - bureau style - would be great…found myself sitting on floor and using coffee table to use iPad.

We started in a room which was not like the picture that was shown when booking, but when we asked about it they were happy to fix/swap our room free of charge. Also when needing to make a complaint about another noisy guest the staff were very happy to help. The bed was super comfy even with a sunburnt back, and shower pressure and temperature was perfect after a long walk down the beach this was especially lovely. Very close to food, shops and the beach and had a wonderful view. Also the pool was extremely clean and maintained well.. also had a jacuzzi!!

Walls were thin and you can hear other guests very easily through the walls. Breakfast was $20 per person for a "buffet breakfast" of egg, bacon, mushroom and hashbrown, with toast.. a little over priced considering it was cold and sitting out for a while. Tv in rooms only had a few free to air channels, no smart tv in rooms which means no phone connectivity or streaming services which is very sad nowadays! I strongly recommended to Rydges to get connections to streaming services like Netflix/Disney plus/Prime or keeping access to tv inputs open so guests can plug in a chrome cast or something.

Room with a view of the beach- was worth paying a little more to get a bigger room with a decent view and up on the top levels

Only minor issue was in our room, the LED tv had a strip light at the bottom that at night you could not turn off so it was distracting when trying to fall asleep as the bed faced the tv. Also had a fire alarm flashing green lights throughout the night which was also annoying when trying to get to sleep. Aside from that, the room was a good size and spacious

We were travelling with our young twins and the cots provided were so clean. We had brought our own linen along but it wasn’t necessary. I was so impressed! The room was spacious and comfortable with nothing around that little toddlers could get into or break. All the staff encountered were lovely and went out of their way to make our stay easy and comfortable. We will definitely stay again, thank you so much.

Friendly and efficient staff. Clean and spacious room. Great view from the balcony. Breakfast was simple but tasty (bacon, sausages, scrambled eggs, mushrooms). Nice that it included one barista coffee per person. Parking was well priced ($20 per day). Conveniently located with beach, cafes, restaurants and bars at your doorstep.

Air con was a bit loud, bring ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper.

We had a sunny beachview unit which was perfect. Lovely balcony and reasonably quiet given Ridges is on a fairly busy corner. Though Not really a problem. The was a high tide which was eroding the beach away. Lots of onlookers.

Well not much. The glass sliding balcony door could do with a clean. Looked I’m like it had been good awhile since that was done. Easily done on a regular basis. The inside light curtain worn over time and needed to be replaced. Been caught in sliding door and become torn and gubby at the hemline. Otherwise it was just fine. Clean with a comfortable bed and walk in shower. I appreciated being Provided with a shower cap etc.

The ocean View room was excellent

Windows need cleaning especially seeing it was an ocean view room. Dining room/restaurant should be open for guests 7 days a week.Menu was not restaurant quality.It was bar meals which were only available Fri,Sat,and Sun.This is not acceptable for paying guests.The focus was on conferences all week.

Liked the location, friendly staff, room comfort and view. The only negative was the uncleanliness of the laundry facility. Someone should check and clean it weekly and add a small garbage pail to the room.

See above about dirty laundry room. Also believe that if a customer like us is staying for a week the daily rate for Saturday should NOT be so exhorbitant.
