Great location

Tired travellers need to be able to make a nice cup of tea . Big mugs, not your tiny cups. Normal milk, not your very limited UHT little thimble sized containers. Nice English breakfast teabags or equivalent, throw those herbal teabags away. If you can’t offer your guests a nice cuppa, then it doesn’t matter about the rest.

I had a 6:00 a.m. flight so the location was perfect as I only had to walk across the street to check in for my flight

Because of the time change and jet lag, I made a mistake when I booked and booked for the 27th of February instead of the 28th. On checking in on the 28th, I was informed that I had already been charged as a "no show" the day before and that my "no show" couldn't be credited since it was booked through a third party; however, they will give me a discount for the 28th, for which I'm thankful. However, on arriving back to my home country and checking my credit card statement, it turns out that I was charged THREE times for this room. Attempts to reach the hotel and rectify this has been fruitless. It would be great if they reverse two of these charges.

For travelers with early morning flights who prefer not to wake up at the crack of dawn, this hotel is an ideal choice due to its incredibly close proximity to the airport. The convenience of being just a stone's throw away from the airport terminal is unmatched, making it incredibly easy to catch those early flights without the hassle of a long commute. Additionally, the rooms are impressively clean, providing a comfortable and relaxing environment for guests. The variety of tea bags and instant coffee available in the room is a thoughtful touch, catering to different preferences and ensuring a pleasant stay.

The space provided in the executive family suite. I was also very happy with the ability to check in early and check out late. The late check out enabled my 4 “Swifties” to start getting ready for the concert that night. The children loved watching the airport activity and the room was surprisingly quiet.

The sofa bed wasn’t made up as requested. This was the reason I had upgraded from the superior family suite in the first place so I was disappointed that the bed wasn’t ready. Taxi fares were a bit expensive due to the location from the city. The downstairs coffee shop didn’t open until 11 on the weekends but we were able to pop over to the international hotel for food options.

The check in was very efficient and the personnel very friendly. Room clean and comfortable. Great place if you have an overnight stop for international flight transfer. The shower is great.

The thing that bothered me and should be corrected. There is no hotel free shuttle: it is the T1 public terminal shuttle bus that one has to use. The hotel web page misleads (I would almost say it is misleading advertising). Nearly all 4-5 star airport hotels I have stayed at provide a courtesy (or near thereof) transfer in the hotel shuttle. I think Rydges needs to do this for its brand and room costs, or edit the information on the web page so that it more closely reflects the reality.

Excellent location if you need to stay very close to the Airport for some reason. Staffs are friendly but is not very accommodating about early check-in. Breakfast was great. Room had a spectacular view of the airport with flights operating throughout the day. We stayed through the night of the new year and had the of seeing the spectacular fireworks from the comfort of our room. That was an added benefit if you are staying on December 31st night.

They should allow people to check-in early as many international flights arrives very early in the Sydney airport. Otherwise everything about the hotel was great.

The location is phenomenal! I was shocked at how close to the airport it was , literally a one or two minute walk !!!! The bed was very very comfy and the staff were amazing. I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone to stay here and I definitely will again!!!! Thank you so much :)

Sorry but could not fault the place itself but my in house service Avocado Club Sandwich was very disappointing. Almost no avo and about two slices of tomato on a rather large sourdough bun ,but the chips were good. So maybe there is room for improvement there. Overall a fantastic experience:)

The hotel is fabulously located just a very short, easy walk across the road from the International Terminal at Sydney Airport. The room was spacious and very comfortable, well appointed and very quiet. There are bars, cafes and restaurants in the hotel and the food is excellent. Breakfast is delicious, buffet style and plentiful. The staff were really helpful and welcomed you in as soon as you appeared in the doorway. I had a lot of luggage and one of the reception team ran off and came back with a trolley and said keep it in your room and use it to walk to the terminal tomorrow - and I did! They have a case weighing scale in reception which is brilliant if you are a little unsure of your luggage weight. Couldn't fault this place and would definitely use them again. Highly recommended.

Very handy for a quick overnight stay after arriving late at night from overseas. Very close to transport e.g. Murray's bus to Canberra or the train

You pay a premium price presumably because of the location but there is no bedside clock, the air-conditioning is efficient however quite noisy, you do not have to interact with staff at all - everything is online - but that doesn't reduce the price. We've just returned from extensive overseas travel and throughout Europe hotels at least of an equivalent standard provide one or two bottles of water free. Rydge's charges $6 for two. Also, overseas hotels invariably provide a couple of biscuits at no cost to have with a cup of tea or coffee. Rydge's do not. A bit stingy and mean Rydges for what purports to be a high-end establishment. Pity!

I was able to drop my bags at left luggage at 10.30am including having some items that needed to be kept cool put into fridge storage. Then I was free to go off on a beautiful coastal walk on Xmas Day. The room itself was great. The glazing was incredible keeping out all external noise whilst giving a view of the airport/runways and I enjoyed watching planes land and some of the smaller ones take off (the big planes needed more runway beyond my vision). Delicious half bottle of full bodied red wine in the minibar with my little picnic whilst watching planes and chatting to best friend in UK. Great shower Ideally placed for early flight the next morning even if price is a bit above average
