The Family Hotel

Having our own bathroom was a bonus. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. The added restaurant down stairs was a bonus. Food was awesome and so were the staff.

A coffee service would have been great. Our first night there was a fight upstairs , with yelling and screaming and slamming of doors, so we didn’t have a very good nights sleep. It would have been great if the balcony was separated with screening for privacy. Unfortunately the people next door kept walking past our French doors to throw their cigarette butts in the aircon drip tray. None of us smoke.

The Property has just had Change of owner ship, the staff there is young fresh and full of life more then happy to assist in what ever way the cold to make you feel comfortable. The place defiantly has potential, but it also does have that country charm of pub accommodation.

Was close to the City Centre and to the Maitland Rugby club which is what we were there for. Parking onsite and pretty good restaurant downstairs. We booked the room with the private bathroom so was perfect for us. Staff are great, hungry jacks across the road, pretty close to everything.

walls are pretty thin but it’s an old motel so it’s expected.

This was a great little pub, centrally located with loads of parking. The staff are super friendly and the place is surprisingly quiet. The food was sensational and we can’t wait to stay here again.

They didn’t have a kettle in the room.

We booked the family room. Our pub room was super clean , spacious and characteristically decorated to suit the age of the historic pub. It was like tastefully stepping back into an old era. Loved it. Biggest TV that I have ever seen in any hotel. Ample parking downstairs.

love the atmosphere, the staff were helpful and friendly. The food at Rudy’s restaurant was amazing and great value for money.

The cold water tap in the shower was broken and had no water, so I had Avery fast shower before it got too hot.🤪 A wardrobe in the room would have been great to hang up our clothes.

I love the old buildings and the room was so big which was nice. The beds were re-made every day.

THe shower needed some plumbing adjustments, and our room was a little strange, the main bed had to be walked throug to the second bedroom. But it's an old building so those strange things are to e expected :)

Room was huge bed was amazing great shower pressure was amazing and great hot water good location for what we needed price was great for 3 ppl over 2 nights meals and a pub downstairs was handy for food and drinks surprisingly quite the whole time we were there

The location was brilliant as I was visiting friends within walking distance. The room was very well noise insulated, I wasn't able to hear any of the other guests coming or going. The staff were friends and welcoming.

The mattress was quite firm, but the bed was comfortably warm for the very cold night I was there.

The Family Hotel is located conveniently in the middle of Maitland. It has plenty of off-street parking. Our room was very clean and had a comfy firm bed.

There was no tea making facilities in our room. We really like to be able to make a cuppa whenever we want.
