We had previously stay here over a year ago when our car broke down and the NRMA put us up overnight so this was one of the reason we chose the Soldiers Motel as we knew it was clean, the locations is great and had a general idea of the rooms. Once we had checked in I noticed on Bookings.com that the room with the king size bed and spa bath was still available. They honoured the on line price and we paid the difference. I must say it was worth it.

My only suggestion would be to have salt and pepper sachets as we had meals to heat in the microwave and no S & P.

Room location suited our needs I regard to walking, eating and shopping. Easy to find and entering and leaving.

Room location on ground floor should have been negotiated on booking. My mistake. None were available on arrival. Our reception looked into it but could not change the current booking. Will know for next time.

It’s was clean and well situated

The parking, we didn’t like how people could park anywhere which lead to spaced parking by others and didn’t allow any room for us to park and others to park in at night. If people had parked in lines everyone would have fit accordingly

The space provided in our room, the Generals Den, for our 3 night stay was fabulous. It was really convenient to have a separate bedroom and living/kitchen area. The bed was extremely comfortable and there were plenty of power points to charge our devices. The staff were helpful and friendly. The motel is conveniently located close to a supermarket and a number of hotels and Club Mudgee.

Customer parking on site is limited however there is plenty of untimed street parking available directly out the front of the motel. The bathroom could do with a light over the mirror to help with make-up application and shaving. I used the IXL light but it heated up the small bathroom very quickly.

Yes we stayed in the king suite and had seperate bedroom table and lounge and ensuite which was was fresh and clean. So we were very happy with accomodation and I remarked to my wife all the staff we welcoming from cleaners to reception. We would highly recommend. It is very well located in Mudgee walk to Soldiers Club and across the road from the pup.

Excellent location. Just a short walk into town. Our room (16) was adjacent to car park so able to reverse car up to door for easy unloading of cases. Room had everything you need, Fridge, microwave and tea making essentials including fresh milk. Nice clean, basic room with comfy bed at a good price.

Shower and bath could do with an upgrade, but no complaints as both worked perfectly.

Cleanliness, quiet....it was a great room.

I did not like that two nights in a row I was forced to park on the street, when it appeared the same cars were parked inside, two days in a row in the same positions. Some cars had taken too much space. When you pay for a motel, you expect to park near the room so your car is safe, and you do not have to carry your luggage so far. Also I relished having a bath, however the noise of the fan was so great that it made the experience non pleasurable.

The room was as we imagined it to be. plenty of space, clean and walking distance to Mudgee town centre. Mudgee has wonderful parks and plenty of cafes. The new Arts Centre is within walking distance. All in all Soldiers Motel has everything you will need for a visit to Mudgee.

It was perfect for us.

The room was a bit noisy as its across the road from a pub, could do with better soundproofing/window seals. There was a draft in the bedroom from under the front door to the bedroom window. The bedroom door didn't close.

The room was perfect and we would like to Thank Terie our housekeeper every day we would see her about was lovely and such a awesome person and helpful... Plenty to choose from drinks and meal very close by must do the winery tours for sure. Loved our whole stay and would recommend this accommodation to anyone...
