Good quality, affordable prices. The staff are always very friendly and the pub atmosphere makes it feel like home. Great location. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The air conditioning works very well, as does the TV. I frequently stay here and will likely stay in the future.

In one of the rooms I stayed in, the 'living room' is on the other side of the wall with a big window. There is a bright light that comes through the blinds even when fully closed and illuminates the room.

Nice new staircase, nicely renovated, friendly and convenient. No complaints at all, Sunday night stay so not much noise. Great location, good for walking home from the restuarant.

Dragging a wheelchair up 16 steps because I forgot about that when I booked. Not being able to access the back gates to get to the carpark in the morning because they were locked - much further around with the luggage.

I had a great time at the Woolpack Hotel, the location is perfect - it was so handy to get buses to the Mamly football game and the races the next day. All the staff were so friendly and the Chinese food was delicious. I loved the live music at night, then it was so handy just to go upstairs to my room! I had so much fun 🤩

This room was huge! (we had the studio) Fantastic value for money. Full size fridge, massive kitchen, big bath (didn't use, but hey, it's nice to have the option) Huuuuuge balcony space.

The balcony space is a shared space. Just something to be aware of, as you will likely see other guests using the balcony if the rooms are all booked. Also, this is a pub, so keep your expectations reasonable when it comes to noise, as there will be patrons using the pub downstairs and that may become noisy at times.

I lovd sitting down by the roaring fire and getting a chance to chat with the locals

As you walk up to the bathroom/kitchenette area along a boardwalk the metal plate clangs visciously no matter how careful you are. Also as a 78 year old I need to get up several times at night it was free-e-e-zing up there. Can you cover it over with that see through thick plastic at the sides. i say see through because the mist at night glowing red against the buildings is awesome. Otherwise great.

Wonderful staff, the room was great, extremely clean, lovely decor, close to everything and the restaurant was great. I had read reviews that the hotel was going to be really noisy, it was fine and there was live music on Friday and Saturday night. To be honest it was a bonus as all you needed to do was walk downstairs for dinner or the entertainment. It is very close to all of Mudgee's cafes and restaurants. I would definitely come back to stay next time I am in Mudgee. It is a hidden little gem that is very affordable and in a lovely location. Mudgee has incredible wineries, cheese shop and honey shop. Make sure you do the Drip Walk and the Hand on Rock walk. Also look out for the Brett Whitely murals at the Drip Walk. We only found out about the artwork after returning back to Mudgee, so unfortunately we missed out on seeing them. From the pics online they are certainly worth a look.

There was nothing to dislike.

Close to everything in town. Lovely old pub with lots of character. Room was a double with ensuite and great value. Comfy bed. Clean and well maintained. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Complimentary earplugs supplied if you book a night with entertainment. This is communicated to you before arrival.

There was nothing to not like for our stay.

Staff were fantastic, they couldn't have been more helpful! The room was great and it was so convenient having an ensuite, not many pubs are able to offer that. Comfortable bed and enough space to spread out and having tea and coffee making facilities was terrific. We ate at the restaurant and like all the reviews say, the food is delicious!

The Woolpack Hotel is exactly how it is stated. Above a great pub with great food and atmosphere. I can see that it could get loud in the rooms staying on a busy night but as I was there on a Wednesday it was perfect.

The staff didn’t help direct me to the parking when I checked in but I figured it out for myself shortly after arriving.

The location is great, walking distance to most shops in the town. The staff in the bar were very friendly. The room was a little small but very well equip. Comfy bed and a good shower. The Chinese restaurant downstairs was really good food and service.

The generator/exhaust from the restaurant downstairs was quite noisy until the restaurant closed and it turned off. Thankfully this was before we were ready for bed and it didn't effect our sleep.
