The apartment was very spacious, perfect for two people. The bed was the best ever 'hotel'/B&B bed we've ever slept in. So comfy! The locations was perfect mostly because if was very near where we needed to be.

There's no aircon in the bedroom, we were lucky it wasn't super hot in December but had it been hot it would have been a different story. The TV had only one channel, there were some loose cables at the back of the tv but they were not connected. Not a problem for a short stay but for a longer stay it might be a problem.

The location is excellent, right on the water of Lake Macquarie, and easy walking distance to a number of cafes, restaurants, the Toronto Hotel, and supermarkets. My room was comfortable, with a nice little balcony. The bathroom was clean and well presented. I was working at Eraring, so the location was perfect to travel to and from site, and the onsite parking is good.

Perhaps i should have done more research prior, but i stayed in a studio room, which is the same as a normal hotel room. As such, i expected the location to have communal laundry facilities, which is pretty common elsewhere. To my surprise they didn't. Only the 1 or 2 bedroom apartments have their own washing machines. With a 5 night stay, i had to find a laundromat, with the nearest being some distance away.

The Facility is close to the waters of Lake Macquarie. There are several highly rated eateries for all meal times (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner) within a short walking distance, as well Supermarkets for forgotten items. The room we stayed in was spacious and felt relaxed. Considering its on the waterfront it was very quiet and the room had block-out blinds, so a sleep in is not hard to have. The site has secure parking, secure entry and over all a very high standard. We were not sure what to expect in Toronto but this was a very very pleasant surprise.

No Microwave oven

I loved the location. Close to cafes and shops. The lake was across the road, so we had views of the lake. Staff member Jody upgraded our room as we'd been given a room with single beds. This wasn't a hassle either, which we were so thankful for.

My only negative was not being told about the night roadworks, or receive any kind of apology. I had to drive 7 hrs to get myself and my mum home without sleep, which was exhausting.

The property is in an excellent location opposite the lake and within a few hundred metres of the main shopping strip. This allows easy walking access to everything this town has to offer. The studio rooms are a standard hotel room that is clean and very comfortable.

The studio apartments at this property do not have a couch for two people to sit on and do not have a microwave, small plates and basic crockery that is standard in other nearby motels. The one bedroom apartments have these amenities, but the ones we have stayed in previously look old, tired and in need of a refurbishment. The lake views are really tree views. We were allocated a room on the side of the property that looks over a park. You can technically see the lake, but it is glimmer through the row of large trees between the property and the lake ... still a better view that the rear carpark.

Opposite the lake. large balcony due to upgrade as booking.com said availability for one bedroom for my dates however when getting to apartments staff said no for those dates, staff said booking.com do this all the time. First time I have ever experienced it. Luxury and it was safe, local cafe around the corner, lovely shops in the village. lake pool .

When my one bedroom apartment was not available staff were going to downgrade the room however I said I booked for a kitchen and separate bedroom with balcony access off the bedroom. Staff did give me a 2 bedroom apartment and locked off the main bedroom . The second bedroom had a ceiling fan and windows were not able to open due to rusted shut. I complained that I needed airflow and staff opened the main bedroom off the balcony. I did not use the 2nd bedroom at all. The weather over these 5 days and prior was extremely hot.

The location is fabulous at the Brighton Apartments, across the road from the waterfront, ocean pool and Espresso cafe. Around the corner and you have cafes, restaurants and boutique shopping. Just up the end of the street is Woolworth's for your grocery needs all within walking distance. A short walk along the waterfront and up the top of the hill you have the local tavern and historic train station. The apartments are fully self-contained with everything you need for a short or long stay. There is secure gated parking on site.

That I had only booked the one night, I would have liked to stay more.

The 2 bedroom unit was great the bedrooms were large and there was lots of space and the beds were comfortable. Bathrooms were really nice and modern, great water pressure. Staff were friendly. Great view of the lake from the good size balcony and close to lots of places to eat.

The air conditioner needed a service - there was dust at the top and the cool air didn't push through to the bedrooms. It would have been nice to get a second key to the room as we were only given one and the lock was a bit difficult to open. The only other thing is while the view was great the road was noisy and the the trucks out the front (possibly garage truck) woke me up.

Mel was at Reception when we arrived. Very cheery and helpful and check-in was quick and seamless. We liked that parking was plentiful and secure. The location was wonderful. We could walk to dinner and ice-cream and walk to the water. Toronto has lovely water views.

Mel was a sweetheart and helped with our Air Con issue but couldn’t work out how to turn the ‘fan’ down so whilst we appreciated the cool of the room we could only keep it on for a short time without being blown away.

The property is simple, but comfortable. There is plenty of room for luggage. The bed and furniture are in good condition.

You have to take your bags upstairs. Not a problem if you are travelling light. This could be a problem if you have heavy cases or are not able to lift your luggage up a flight of stairs. There is no dishwasher and all dishes must be washed prior to departure or a $100 fee will be levied. As can sometimes be the case in these types of properties, we found that one of the cups had been put back in the cupboard dirty. So best to check the crockery before use.
