Booked a certain room with washing Machine and dryer at a set price then was given a room without, Check-in Staff (Man) wanted to ague and said I didn't book that room and wanted to charge me extra, I pointed out that Booking.com showed with washing machine and dryer in the room and he still wanted to ague, was very rude and very unaccommodating. Once I stood my ground I was given a better room with what I expected though the experience of checking in to the Rydges Palmerston - Darwin was horrible. When I went down to reception for the new room key the Man just said , "Talk with the Girl, I don't want to talk with you, We have given you a better room"!

The lady who booked us in was beautiful. Great location, walking distance to everything, lovely spacious room.

The man on reception. He has turned us of ever going again. His mannerism left nothing to be desired, no help at all. We ask for a map one day of how to get to the cinema. He gave us one without anything marked and pointed to roughly where the motel was and roughly where the cinema was but no streets were on the map. Good old google maps to our rescue.

2nd time staying here for business trips and will do so again in the future. Hotel is very clean and in a great, convenient location. Plenty of options for food (both in-house and near-by), easy parking and friendly staff. Can't ask for much more.

The hotel is in, what appears to be, a bit of a run-down part of town, with many homeless locals living in the bushes across the road. This is just nitpicking though, as it doesn't impact anything with the stay.

The three bedroom apartment that we stayed at was really clean, modern and comfortable for six adults. The pool was decent in size and clean, a great place to hangout and cool down in the Darwin heat. The location is great! There’s a few takeaways and restaurants just outside the hotel and a couple of shopping centres a few minutes drive. It wasn’t too far from the Darwin city either as there really isn’t traffic there so 20-25 minutes tops to get there.

The continental buffet breakfast was a bit pricey for the selection that was available and we had to pay extra if we wanted hot food to be included. It was worth the try though as the food was good.

Great facilities and staff, loved the pool, room was clean, bathroom was nice.

I request for my room to be cleaned every second day (to be environmentally friendly) so it would be helpful if I was told that rooms are not cleaned on public holidays. It was luck that my room was cleaned the day before. We wanted steak and initially thought the only option to have steak was with room service because it was on that menu, and not the restaurant menu (I thought that was odd but didn't ask). When we went down to the restaurant on another day afterwards, we realized there were lots of steak options. It would be good to know all options available.

Liked the balcony room view ,liked the snack menu’s and times you could get them staff friendly ,and nothing a problem, the greeting at the door on first check in even though it was a very early morning one, nothing disappointing for us we could even do our washing and drying before putting our worn clothes back in tne suitcase, definitely will go there again ,much better than crowded place to stay,

I would have liked the pool area if the lounge chairs near the pool had the Coffey mattress on them but that’s my only comment they are uncomfortable for our old body

New hotel and facilities were excellent. Would recommend for one to three night stay if you have transport. We had a casual bar dinner AL Fresco near the pool, very pleasant atmosphere with good food selections and quality at reasonable prices. The hotel is a little out of Darwin (which we knew) so location wise its a bit remote and not many options within walking distance of the hotel, however in our case we stayed at a quality new hotel and given we had a car to access darwin and surrounds the hotel work out great for us and very reasonably priced compared to darwin CBD locations.

Nothing to really comment on here. There was a bit of confusion when we checked in around the parking however we parked in the secure underground parking for the hotel. We thought there may have been a charge but it was free parking so worked out really well.

The hotel is in a great location, close to cafes/shops and running tracks. I also enjoyed using the pool, and gym. The rooms are huge, the bed was super comfy and I enjoyed the views from the balcony.

The hotel gets very loud during the day and at night; you can hear people talking in the hallway and when doors slam close. It was hard to fall asleep or relax during the day. We kept the bathroom light on so the fan drowned out some of the noise. They definitely need to think about installing better soundproof doors.

This is a comfortable Rydges hotel which met my expectations. The room was large and the bed exceptionally comfortable. I would not have stayed in Palmerston except that I needed to be near Palmerston hospital - this is six minutes drive from the hotel and so is very convenient. Staff were helpful. Room service was very prompt and the food was excellent.

The hotel was exactly what I needed at the time, although I don't think it is in a very nice area. However, I didn't really have time to explore the neighbourhood, so I may have missed out on some good aspects.

Stayed in room 402 (very nice) 2 bedroom apartment with comfortable bedding, large bathroom and kitchen and balcony. Paid for buffet breakfast ($28 pp) which was delicious and plentiful. The breakfast lady was super friendly and very welcoming.

Like most things in Darwin, I'd say a little on the expensive side but you do get what you pay for in quality and cleanliness. At $345AUD per night breakfast should be included or at least discounted for guests.
