The location is perfect in the Darwin. A special thanks to Danny, the Indian guy with a moustache and the bilingual french English speaker, all three were on the reception and were very nice and helpful. A special thanks for the guy's restaurant for his patience to wait for us finish our breakfast. My son really liked the pool.
We were not aware that we should not turn off the aircon. This cause my laptop to be damaged as well as the smart watch of my hubby, by humidity. It was too late for us to complaint as we already left the premises and we have been made aware of that later on.

The airconditioning was superb. The pillows were of good quality. The fridge was a nice size for us to put our snacks and drinks we got from Woolworths and BWS which was just across the road.
One of the swimming pools were on the warm side on our first time we used it but after overnight rain it cooled sufficiently. It was just one of those really hot and humid days in the Darwin summer. A fire alarm was triggered off at 1am one night and we had to evacuate. Should have found out what the cause was. The room's phone (363) wasnt working but I forgot to report it. Still, was a great stay.

We did not have breakfast which in the past has been excellent. The problem is they close breakfast at 9am, too early for me 10am would be great.
Please do not put me in a position where i am arguing with staff regarding parking fees. I will not stay at accommodation that charges for such greedy fees. This was not expected as i have stayed at this accommodation several times previously. They wisely did not in the end appear to have charged me for parking.

For a hotel with a mostly “fair” rating I was pleasantly surprised. Ok so the staff having a good old chat round back while I waited to check wasn’t great bu t it soon got much batter after that. First up this place was only $107 a night which also included breakfast! Then they asked me which bottle of wine would I like! Then I was informed parking is free, behind an electronic security gate in the middle of the city - so convenient. So imagine there’s two of you, breakfast locally would easily set you back $60, a bottle of wine $30, parking $10 (hotel price)…the room is almost free. The room was great. Bearing in mind what I paid and the rating of this hotel it was so good. Clean, neat with a good size ensuite and a comfortable bed. For one improvement I’d suggest having a way of charging phones/devices as I’d forgot my charger. Oh did I mention check out was at 1 pm? The two pools were pretty good.
The pool bar was closed for the wet season so had to go to reception for a towel and breakfast had a narrow operating window 0600 to 0900 according to the sign in reception and 0600 to 0930 according to the sign on the restaurant door. Either way I missed it, it’s the weekend who gets up that early?

Check-in was efficient, and the free drinks were a welcome surprise. The package I booked included parking and breakfast. This was excellent value for money. The room was large and comfortable, with an excellent bathroom. Breakfast had a great variety of food and was enough for even big appetites and picky eaters. The 11:00 AM check-out with the ability to extend it to 1:00 PM free of charge was also welcome and meant no rushing to pack, eat breakfast and check out. I will definitely stay here again.
My only criticism is that the restaurant was closed for dinner. That being said, it is the wet season, and occupancy is relatively low. I can understand why it isn't open at the moment, and this is not a reflection of the hotel.

From entering the front entrance, i could see the modern new furniture, light, the openness and space, the peaceful, welcoming vibe and feeling of serenity. & tranquility. The rooms are modern and new and the beds are sooo comfy! The welcoming smile of staff in reception and managers. I was greeted by my name and the manager remembered my name! After that long since returning 😁 the staff cannot do enough!, Danny from reception was extremely helpful with a booking that i had made in error. I absolutely love Travelodge, staff & management and will always return to stay on my visits to Darwin! Travelodge is my number 1 place to stay!
There was nothing that i didn't like. I loved everything about Travelodge.

We loved that it had a real family friendly and welcoming vibe, staff were lovely at check in/out, the pools were amazing (great to have a fully shaded option!), rooms were comfortable and clean and my husband was happy with the bed (hes usually really fussy with beds due to a back injury), nice and close to Woolies for that inevitable late afternoon snack run with kids. We had a great time. Thank you Daniel for being cheery and helpful.
The gardens could really do with some love/tidying up. Was tricky to find staff for pool towels etc. Would have loved a fan in the room, was a bit "still" for us locals who are used to ceiling fan moving. Was surprised at the extra charge for parking, appreciate that its on site and secure but it adds up if you're staying for a few days. Also surprised that breakt closed at 9... everywhere else we've stayed has been 10 and it meant we missed breaky on our last day cos the kids were exhausted and slept in.

Everything met the expectation (for a Travel Lodge) from service to food to their facilities. Location was excellent. The added bonus was that their carpark is outdoors and gated. We are travelling around Australia in our 4WD, which requires a minimum of 2.3m clearance. We also needed to lay out our solar blanket on top of the car during the day to power the fridge and freezer in the car. Their open but secured carpark allowed us to do this. The other hotels in town provide undercover parking limited to 2.1m clearance. It also has a coin laundry ($3 wash, $3 dry).
They did not air seal the windows in the public corridor on the floors. This allowed excessive hot air into the corridors which the aircon could not keep up in keeping the corridors cool.

Beautiful pools-1 a little cooler than the other as it's in the shade. Clean, comfortable room. Good air conditioning. Breakfast was plentiful& fresh. Location fabulous. Almost opposite a Woolworths.
Didn't appreciate getting evacuated at 1am on our first night due to a malfunctioning alarm. Not well organised, people wandering around with no direction. Apology and token gratuity (even a free soft drink or packet of chips 🤷🏼♀️) would not have gone astray. Parking gets full and it's off season, I can imagine that'd be tricky in the busy season.

We were happy with the room a town house, it was clean and tidy comfortable it had washing machine and dryer available in the room, it met our expectations. The staff were great courteous and obliging happy to assist.
The down side was the restaurant set up, the restaurant upstairs and inside could only be used for breakfast, which was cold every day we were there, (3 days) lunch and dinner were ordered at the pool bar, but stupidly the food was prepared and collected from the upstairs restaurant by the pool bar staff, we waited 20 minutes before I asked what was happening finally the staff member left and went and brought our food down where we had to eat outside in the pool area. Note! When the staff member is going to get food the pool bar is unattended. Not close to any restaurants.
