This hotel was almost back to back with a designated stop organised by The Ghan team, so big plus as no taxi required. The hotel was within a convenient walk of the CBD and the Waterfront area. Room large, and really a mini apartment, having a microwave and kitchen area in the small lobby area of the room space.

It was noisy outside. There is a nearby nightclub. I think there was a conversation outside every hour of the two nights upto, say, 0400. There was a strange noise at night every so often that is hard to characterise, but was a cross between a short (metal?) roller blind being wound up or down and something being slipped under the door. Distinctly odd. A shame because it marks down an otherwise good stay.

This is a great value for money motel. Ideal location, only five minutes walk from Darwin's CBD and has some good drinking spots even closer. The pool is excellent, better than some of the more expensive motels I have stayed at in Darwin. Free secured car parking is another plus. The rooms are not super flash, but for the money you are paying they are more than adequate; the bed was very comfortable, first-class air conditioning and the room has everything you need for a week in Darwin. I have spent a lot more money and stayed in a lot worse places. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful - could not fault the service they provided.

Excellent budget friendly room rates. Excellent location. Only minutes walk to supermarkets, pubs, eateries, parks & gardens. Bus stop a few blocks up to take you to the main Darwin bus terminal to go anywhere. Rooms are clean and comfortable with a bonus kitchenette. Pool is excellent and clean with shade and full sun. The staff are welcoming and nothing is too much to assist you with. Special mention to Brad and Emma for making our stay great. Will definitely stay again when visiting Darwin next time. Very happy guest.

The shower door would not slide easily so had to have a shower with the glass door open. Easy for the motel to fix.

The price was very reasonable. The locational was very central to pubs and restaurants. A TAB was located in a hotel about 50 mtrs away. Central in the CBD provided many shops , hotels restaurants, massage parlours etc ,if that's what you required.we Off street secure parking was great. Reasonable sized fridge was great as was the kitchen and sink area. Shower and toilet were adequate and provision of liquid soap dispenser was a bonus. Foxtel Smart TV and pool were an added bonus Air conditioned rooms an obvious blessing I liked the price.compared to some other alternatives.

A 3 day rotation to get clean towels excessively poor Stayed there for 7 days and no cleaning of the room or changing of bed linen took place. You had to ask for more tea bags etc so there was no monitoring of supplied resources. More regular checking and cleaning was required to improve the service or lack of it was required.

Pool was very nice. Room was private, clean, and comfortable. Lots of TV channels. Full fridge. Convenient location - close to restaurants and cafes, supermarket, fuel stations, esplanade, etc. Free parking (limited places, but we always found a spot). Nice greenery in carpark. Laundry facilities available - brand new machines $6 for a wash or dry. Excellent security. Serviced every few days. Helpful staff. Generally well maintained. A great stay!

Next to the Entertainment Centre, so some nights were a bit noisy with staff tipping glass bottles into bins. Sometimes other hotel guests were noisy (cars, doors, voices), but mostly quiet overall. Ceiling fan in room 3 needed maintenance - sounded like a metronome, clicking every turn.

Clean and Comfortable large room with basic kitchen in good location within walking distance of main Darwin CBD. Easy check in instructions for late night arrival.

Didn't like the fact that that the bathroom light also switches on a light in the main room, so if you go to the bathroom in the middle of the night and need to switch on the light it wakes you up your partner. The noisy crew next door at the Darwin Entertainment Centre bumping out the performance equipment at 11pm at night, fortunately it didn't go on too long.

The location was excellent, close to city restaurants, supermarkets and public transport. Close to parks and coastal scenery, just a short walk away. The kitchen was clean and fresh with new looking appliances. The fridge was a decent size for the two of us. The aircon and ceiling fan worked very effectively in the warm environment of Darwin. Bathroom lighting was excellent as well as the rest of the apartment. Great to have table and chairs on the balcony. Bed was comfortable and spacious for a good night sleep.

Water pressure to the shower was quite low but still worked fine.

Accessibility to CBD, and other activities. Ease of access upon check in/out. Staff were friendly and they had good knowledge of local tour operators and activities, hot spots etc. Great value for the money paid.

Little tight on the parking area/bays but it wasn't a real issue. There were other options available if need be. Also the TV's had a casting option (Video on Demand) which didn't work for us but again, this was only a minor inconvenience.

Me and my friend had a really good stay in Capitanos and would definitely stay again if we ever visit Darwin. It's easily accessible to the airport(only 10-15mins by car/taxi), restaurants, shops are few mins walking distance so is the beach. Rooms are spacious and clean and we also really enjoyed the swimming pool after hot day sightseeing. Leanne, the manager is friendly and answers all the questions you might have. Also we needed after hours check in which was not a problem at all. Capitanos is a great affordable accommodation and we definitely recommend it. Thank you.

The room that we had was quite large with three double bunks and a double bed, with a small kitchen with a huge fridge and a terrace that looked out over Mitchell street and to the west. Leanne the manager was very helpful and a delight. We really enjoyed our stay.

It would have been even better if there had been a table and chairs in the room, where we could have eaten our breakfast or any meals that we had there. Drainage for the showers also could have been better. Every time a shower was run the water flowed all over the floor and the bath mat was constantly very wet.
