The location it is about 15minutes walk from the light rail train station stop about 6blocks and 3traffic lights they take about 2to3 minutes to change or you can take a transit bus from across the street than about 5minutes away

The kitchen was a mess lots of dirty dishes and pots it was starting to smell bad also person next room was talking away sometimes laughing with someone visiting from another room down the hallway this would go on till 2 or3 oclock in the morning i did not want to be rude in any way with this old man

Best Location... Quite from the bustling city life. Easy access to public transport and activities. The staff are friendly and helpful. A great team of supportive staff. Alot of privacy around the hotel.

Facilities need just a little work on them. Bathroom door could be fixed to allow better privacy in the twin rooms. Difficult shower door. Shower needs more water pressure. Getting a hot shower early in the morning was scarce.

Although basic, the room have everything you needed and everything was practical. This was literally the first accommodation I've stayed at that the hot water jug fitted perfectly under the tap! Hot water came on straight away in the shower. The air conditioner did it's job. Wi Fi was available straight up. There was good security to the premises.

Always have to wait for the staff to turn up later in morning to open the side doors and have to walk around to load car. Minor inconvenience for the security provided.

Value for money, easy check in/our, great location, clean rooms, antique well maintained hotel. The room gave an cabin/sauna style, very nostalgic. Shower pressure great. Considering the surrounding Backpackers charged more, we were very happy with our stay. I would stay again.

Great value for money and exceeded expectations for the price. The bed was a bit soft, something to keep in mind but I had a great sleep otherwise.

The Fridge sounded like helicopter so i defrosted it after that no sound. FriendlyStaff. Guests friendly. Rooms clean. Hard bed. I would recommend and come back however I would book room with private bath room etc. I love the feeling of this place and would love to revamp and freshen up. I can do this easily at minimal cost to owner. Contact me on jillozcy@gmail.com.au I will be recommending to friends and will re book

Wanted somewhere to hang my clothes even hook ok. Noise of fridge, once i defrosted it no noise. Bed with ridges, I lifted up and saw flat boards. Cockroach found in suitcase after leaving

Upgraded to separated unit at back with own bathroom, king size bed, microwave, kettle, air con, lower outlets where you need, smart TV (small and leasty cheapy)

Couldn't book another night More thought about interior lighting design rather than All ON day for night for all to see your up, or off and lurky, feeling dirty (exterior lighting poor) Consider a memory foam pillow in each room for 11/10 night sleep

Small but practical  room (51) has fridge, sink, chair, table, balcony, mirror, carpeted floor, (tv). And that in an acceptable condition. Near a railwaystation with supermarket and fast food.

very weak ventilator, no sound insulation whatsoever, thin connecting door to adjacent room. But guests were super quiet! Latch on door to balcony is too weak. No electrical outlet near bed. The blanket was unpleasant to the touch, should have been the thinner white and washable type.

I loved the history of the place, the location was perfect, close to so many food choices and shops.

We had to make a couple of complaints about noisy tenants above us, we have children too so we understand to an extent. However even after speaking to staff the noise continued and even got worse, causing trouble for our own child who tried to sleep.

The location was very good, nice and close to everything, it was a nice environment with the trees and gates, made us feel tucked away and safe in the centre of a big city. It’s a good walking distance, maybe you could put some directional signs or some little maps for the guests. Overall was a good stay.

Weren’t too many thing provided in the room, no cutlery or anything like that, maybe a few more toiletries, no spare pillows. Carpets wasnt held in place properly so if the edges came up it was easy to trip on

The room was fairly large for just a couple and the location is great, only a few minutes walk from the pubs/clubs of The Valley. Bathroom facilities only a short walk down the hall for the rooms sharing, but the room had a sink and mirrors so you can still do the basics.

There was only one shower and toilet on the floor we were on, shared between quite a few rooms, and if they were occupied you have to go up stairs to the other shared bathroom with more. The windows in the room also didn't shut properly and we didn't have any detergent to wash our cups/mugs after our stay.
