Rydges Fortitude Valley was one of the best places i've stayed in a while. When i was searching, it was a lot cheaper than other hotels in the area so i wasn't expecting such a great experience. Staff are lovely; rooms are clean and modern; and location was spot on. I had issues with the noise in my room because work was being conducted on the roof and straight away i was offered a suite better than mine. Whilst i didn't take it, i appreciated the excellent customer service. I will now always stay here when I'm travelling to Brisbane. Thank you

The rooms were fantastic, bed was super comfy and the location was excellent. We were exhibiting at the RNA showgrounds so the location was perfect. The restaurant and bar are exceptional. The decor was modern and relaxing. The staff were lovely and very friendly.

Carparking is the biggest issue I see at this hotel. There is none onsite and you are required to use the facility next door although you cannot book a park there. This made it difficult as we were there for an event at the RNA showgrounds so parking was difficult to get as this is also a carpark open to the public.

Rydges Fortitude Valley did not disappoint. It was only 50m from the Tivoli, so perfectly positioned for what we were in Brisbane for. Walk anywhere and find amazing restaurants, shops and the train station opens the whole city up to you. I was incredibly impressed with the soundproofing in the rooms; only heard a few footsteps above us, other than that oh-bliss-full-silence. Their blockout curtains are second to none! Instant night with a swipe of those blinds, amazing! Bed was softer then I am used too but super comfy so perfect for a few nights! Prices were a little steep for room service but that’s expected; yummy selection and gnocchi! Yum! Breakfast is WORTH IT. Get it! Massive selection, even chocolate milk in cute little bottles for the kids (and kids at heart). Would not hesitate to stay at Rydges again if Brisbane calls in the future. Thanks again!

The hotel was convenient, easy, and quiet on a nice street with restaurants and cafes. The room was fine though our outlook was over the carpark and back lane. Nice big bathroom and huge TV.

They could read the booking notes. I booked a twin and then added in the notes it was to be set up as a twin and when we got there it was set up as a double so we had to hang about for 30 minutes while they redid the room. Sometimes the carpark is full but there is another not too far that can be booked through the hotel.

I loved how close everything was to the hotel and all the restaurants and places around it and the beds were extremely comfy with the staff being super friendly whenever I needed help with something. Also, when housekeeping would make our rooms while I/when me and my friend who stayed a night were gone they made it look spotless and I'd love to come stay again next time I come to Brisbane.

Honestly, nothing really to complain about at all, I liked everything about the hotel.

The room was great, parking was convenient and most of the staff were very pleasant. The breakfast was really yummy too! And it's in the ideal location if you're attending events at either the Tivoli or the Brisbane Show Grounds as it is is smack dab in the middle. The cleaning and maintenance staff were wonderful and so were the hosts in the in hotel restaurant. The shower was awesome! Great pressure and very hot water. The pool was small (my friend called it a lap pool) but pretty nice, and right beside the gym.

Can't really be helped, but the check in system was down when we arrived so we were waiting in the lobby a while, which was fine. The staff there when we first arrived were very kind and patient but the next guy at the desk we felt like he was judging my friend and I for eating and playing games, as if we had anywhere else we could be doing these things. And there was only free to air tv in the room.

I’ve stayed a number of times and happy to see Rydges has stepped up with all round improvements to the guest experience. Upgraded room, welcome treat in the room and note, staff too. Well done!

I had to check out one day early for my client reasons, beyond my control. I get booking T&Cs and respect utilisation rate. A gesture of goodwill would’ve been appreciated on my room rate, as I return every Quarter, so keep your guest happy.

location, accessibility and caring helpful staff.

it is a lovely property ,however we had difficulty accessing the property on arrival due to the road closures for a festival at the show grounds.That was the only negative about our lovely stay We acknowledge that this was beyond the control of the hotel. I did however telephone reception the previous day to ask regarding valet parking which was mentioned on one of the websites.We were told there was no valet pay and that parking was next door and we would be directed on arrival.Given the complexity of accessing the hotel due to the extensive road closures, it would have been appreciated to have been fore warned and advised how to access the property. otherwise keep up the great work xxx

Room was clean and comfortable and no noise heard from other guests. Hotel was located in a close proximity to RBWH and Fortitude Valley train station, and there were plenty of options for eating out nearby.

Empty wine bottle found in room upon check-in, which was hidden in a cupboard by previous guest. But really, I couldn't fault my stay here and don't have any negative feedback to add.

I love the ease of checking in, the ease of parking, the room are very comfortable and lush. The styling is cosy and the linen / sheets etc were super soft and luxuries

I don’t like that’s the windows don’t open. I struggle to sleep without fresh air. The bottle water in the fridge was complimentary ( which is great of course ) but there was not signage to let me know… as it is stored with the mini bar it would appear not to be ‘free’.
