Didn’t have any too expensive.

Asking Pensioners, like me, but generally speaking- to pay for parking after all the costs associated with driving from the Coast, tolls, fuel, & in the end, the cost of the stay- it gets ridiculous to expect guests to pay for the privilege as well. PARKING SHOULD BE FREE

Great facilities, comfortable beds, most staff were impeccable. The pool deck was a lovely, sheltered, sunny spot to sit in the morning. Additionally the pool was a perfect temperature for a winter swim. The location of this hotel is ideal if you like to be near the city yet not in it, within a stone's throw of parklands, and able to walk to many of Brisbane's attractions. The lobby seating options and restaurant ambience were very nice.

1. We asked to cancel our breakfast for two of the three nights and were told that was fine and that the cost would be deducted at the end of the stay. At checkout a different staff member told me it was not possible to cancel breakfast because we had booked through booking.com. If the first staff member had told me this we would not have eaten breakfast elsewhere while still paying for it at the hotel. 2. The car park was very tight which made manoeuvring difficult, however, to the hotel's credit they do acknowledge this in a sign outside the entrance. 3. There was building work outside our room which meant we couldn’t open the verandah door without a lot of noise. With the door closed the air con fan was quite noisy.

Breakfast was great, although a bit slow to refill empty food sections (eg. Eggs and bacon) The staff were very friendly and helpful 😊 The pool was amazing, and the facilities were really nice. Room was lovely. Being so close to a station and the park was very convenient and makes for a wonderful welcome to the city each day.

The pool area was not clean and was left dirty over night (eg other people's left over food, dirty plates and glasses) which was disappointing. This was there when I checked out the pool area at night, and was still there when I actually went for a swim first thing in the morning the next day. The curtains in my room were broken so couldn't be pulled fully shut/open although this didn't affect the beautiful view sitting on the balcony. The shower in the bathroom unfortunately leaked/door dribbles or something, which drenched the bathmat for when I got out. And it would be nice to have had whole fruits available at breakfast, such as apples and bananas, but the selection of foods provided was wonderful

the location is great! its the time I’ve stayed here and: it’s a less than 5 minute bus to queen street mall (which by the way has a bus stop literally in front of the hotel which has a free loop to queen street mall.) and is literally across the road from Roma street park lands, it’s in a lovely part of the city, practically smack-dab in the middle, it’s not too far from royal Brisbane show grounds too if you’re wanting to go to EKKA in September. the pool is lovely, you can get lunch IN the pool! the shower in my room had rainfall head and a handheld shower head too with a lovely jet function. great speed free wifi. lovely bistro and buffet, if you’re having dinner please try the steak (obviously medium rare), it’ll melt in your mouth, I got it for 48$ AUD and it comes with 2 sides to boot! a must try is the tiramisu, very large portion! the panna cotta is amazing, very jiggly, and sweet I loved it. the coffee is good too. If you did what I did and booked 3 months ahead you’ll save a bunch of money. lovely staff. grate lobby.

this is more of a nitpick but the hotel room I stayed in was oddly shaped, the main part of the room (the bedroom) is fine and square but the balcony and bathroom were sort of triangular in shape.

Location close to Roma Street railway station and just a short walk into the city centre. Well presented rooms with everything you need for your stay. Aircon worked well as did WiFi through the hotel. Exceptional breakfast. Juices, cereals, sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, mushrooms and beans. Cold selection of ham, cheese, fish with fresh fruit and pastries. Yoghurts, tea and coffee. I think that’s it but there may be more!! On site restaurant serving delicious Italian meals. Full bar although it does close by 10pm.

At the time of our stay there was building works next door which started at 06.45

Very central location with nice views as it is located on a hill. The only bad thing is walking the short but steep way up after a day in the city... but it is easily manageable. Comfortable rooms. Little but varied breakfast options: 5/6 hot dishes (eggs, beans, mushroom, tomatoes, bacon, sausages, hash brown), many different cereals, pastries (pancakes, croissants, cinnamon rolls...) dairy products (cheese, milk, yogurt), salmon, different types of breads, 3-4 varieties of fruits and even chia pudding. Very happy with the breakfast Very small gym but with a treadmill, bicycle and some weights

The place was generally clean and bright, rooms were made up daily. Check-in and check-out was quite fuss-free. We arrived early but thankfully our room was ready.

The carpark was very tight with many pillars that made it difficult to maneuver.. we couldn’t park our vehicle inside. We had to park along the small street outside the hotel. We stayed for 5 nights and not once were the linens changed, even though there was spillage of milk and chocolate milk on the sheets. They also didn’t have toothbrushes or shavers.

The location is great if you arrive by train as we did. Just some stairs to get up. The restaurant was particularly good with excellent service. The Persian restaurant just around the corner is even better. Storage of our luggage was easy and secure, and a much-appreciated service. A free bus stops at the door and brings you right into the centre of the CBD.

Our room near to the pool was nice except for the noisy users of the pool - at awkward hours. The power sockets at our beds were of a strange design that would not accept a standard grounded Austrralian plug - so my CPAP machine could not be connected. According to the manager it was for international visitors - but I have traveled to many countries across the world and never encountered a socket like that. I had converters with me, but nothing would fit. The manager did produce a solution - a long lead connecting from a standard power socket on the other side of the room.

Beds 10/10 Room Size (119 - if you know you know) 10/10 Amenity 10/10 Location 10/10 This is easily the best bang for buck hotel in the Brisbane CBD - by a long shot. Warnings of sound issues are overstated and if you get the right room (see above) you're blessed by a balcony which leaves any other hotel I've stayed in for dead.

But for a couple of gracious and refreshing exceptions, the staff can be cold and unwelcoming. I don't understand why this is the case, but the absence of eye contact, the abruptness of tone, has been present at every one of my 4 weekend visits over January/February. Given the value for money, it never perturbs me too much.

I loved how it was away from all the crowds and the tourists but still very much in the city. The room was comfortable with stunning sunset views. Drinkable water was always available from the counter and the location was perfect.

Our check-in experience was horrible. We had a long day and were checking in at 11 pm but the staff looked hopeless and waited 30 mins to check us in. No communication and hardly any customer skills. I thought that our stay was going to be terrible but the staff the next morning said they had received similar complaints about the staff and had to let her go. The experience with staff from there went really well.
