Location is perfect and in general the hostel is good. They have everything u need in the kitchen.

Booked the hostel because the coworking room should be included as a facility, but found it did cost 10$ to sit there between 7am-5pm. The dorm room was really cold and the plastic madrases make a lot of sounds. Cleaning in the bathroom could be a bit better, it was schampoo bottles etc on the floor that seemed to have been there for ages. Also the whole room woke up at 4 am one day because one of the staff randomly and really drunk went in to our room, slept in someone else bed and peed on the floor. Heard that guy got fired the day after, but could be cool with a discount or something, but no one even said sorry for what happened.

Selina´s location in close proximity to Roma St train station is unbeatable, nice and central. Selina is a cozy hostel which feels more like a hotel due to it´s lack of shared spaces. It´s very neat and clean, rooms are very comfy and quiet, which makes for a very restful stay. All in all a great place to stay for a couple of nights.

The communal kitchen is tiny, for way to many people and opens only at 8 am, which is more than inconvenient. It´s extremely overpriced with $72 for a bed in a dorm. There is cheaper options, but I really feel the price is way out of line even for Brisbane. Especially considering that the room I slept in smelled like a puma cage and you aren´t even able to open the window. Also I feel you should at least be given a clean towel at that price.

Free exercise classes in the mornings. Clean comfy rooms. Decent kitchen.

No communal lounge space so difficult to meet people. Bunkbed design was interesting - the lockers are located above your feet which makes it a little claustrophobic and difficult to climb into bed. A lockable private bathroom shared between 6 people meant I was waiting to use the bathroom and the only shared bathroom was on the ground floor. It would be better to have a lock on the toilet and shower only, so guests can still use the general bathroom space / sink when at the same time.

location, bed was comfy, shower was good

Bathroom door couldn’t be shut from outside. only had a handle and public toilet stall type lock on the door. so door had to stay open. $360 a night was ridiculous. Check in took a good 10 to 15 mins. need to stream line this and make it easier for both staff and guests.

A great recommendation for solo travelers that do not enjoy noise/don’t want party/need a place to work/working nomad travelers. I really enjoyed my stay at Selina. Everything is clean and comfortable. Great located.

They could have more shared areas, especially for getting some work done. I was also surprised I needed to pay every day to use the co-working space. This should be advertised before when you make the booking. Perhaps being able to buy a package for 5 nights/get a discount?

we arrived at the hostel at 11am and the room was already available. we were upgraded to a suite room from a private double which was a lovely surprise!! the room was amazing! the decor was nice, the facilities were great! TV, couch, coffee machine and fridge in the room were a huge plus! i heard from a friend that the shared rooms were also extremely comfortable too! they have a lot going on in the hostel. welcome drink, ‘family dinner’ for 5/10 dollars which helps you meet people. the cafe is connected to the hostel and there is a small ‘shop’ ar reception with all that you need. very close to train station, greyhound and in walking distance to everywhere. house keeping are very friendly & will go out of their way for you :)

The water in the bathroom & taps taste like led. i think the pipes need changing. the aircon was leaking, even after it was fixed. The food for the family dinner was very cold and had no taste. Not worth $10 (nevertheless it was nice to meet people). asked for coffee a couple of times and didn’t get it, had to ask multiple times again and seemed to be bothering the staff.

Cleanest hostel style hotel in Brisbane. Spotless. Staff always working to keep the standard. Don’t listen to bad reviews. Just stay here. Social hour every day in the bar makes it easy to meet people. Management is excellent. Everyone in good spirits all the time. Great stay. Why pay more to stay anywhere else. It’s right in the city next to a major train station. I’ve stayed in 4 other hostels and none of them compare to it comfort wise. It’s not close. I’ve also stayed in some really nice ones in California and this one beats those too.

Nothing I didn’t like. I can see a couple bad reviews on here that just don’t make sense, aren’t explained or flat out untrue. Here’s a real review for you. Stay here. You won’t be disappointed. It’s a hotel feel for a hostel price. It’s also a major brand so they do their best to keep a standard set across their other properties across the world.

The staff were super friendly and accommodating to everything my partner and I needed, they even let us in an hour early to get ready for our event, and even after us bugging them about that we asked if they had an iron and they gave us one to use as well with no hesitation! They were all very lovely and understanding (espeically the next morning when I was very ill with food poisoning and they let us leave an hour later too). Once I realised where it was, I was so happy to see the cute little adjacent cafe and the awesome waiting area. The rooms themselves were so beautiful and the decor and style of the room was so different and homely compared to normal clinical feeling hotel rooms. We didn't get to stay there long however and it was a bit of a whirlwind with being sick and having to rush around the whole time but I wish we stayed for more than one night! Overall it was a great little quaint place right near the train station and it was perfect 😇

The only thing I found was that I wasn't sure where the actual hotel was because the signage was a bit different than usual places but other than that when I realised where it was everything was fine.

Stay one night arrived on red eye flight the staff very helpful & welcoming The 4 bed mixed dorm room exceed my expectations having a nice clean, tidy comfortable bed & very fresh vibe to it with bathroom like new Better than some up market hotels Ive stayed on my travels. Really close to bus/train station not overly noisy during the night Would Stay again for-sure

Having to download an app for pre check in whilst It may speed up check in especially late night & if traveling using this backpacker group it was a little frustrating as only staying for 1 short night stop over
