Loved the view, the food at H20 was amazing with great service and atmosphere . The young lady at reception when we checked in was lovely and pleasant and went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable.

To be called abruptly from reception by another employee after our checkout time (had already organized late check out) we worked out that it was a miscommunication between staff members, but was made to feel like it was our fault. Our stay was sensational up to that point.

We stayed 3 nights. We had a big KR with kitchenette. Painted white & spotless, lovely refurbishment, like new. Balcony on side of building with a small river view & to the right, town. Lovely big bathroom, bed comfortable. Staff nice & helpful when I couldn't get their wifi on my apple iPad, didn't really matter. Had car park & close to everything.

Surprised didn't have a toaster, cleaner doing another room said with smoke alarms, took them away, always a toaster in kitchens, never set off alarms. Booked a table for two in hotel restaurant mid afternoon, for dinner & when we arrived at the time, chap said it would be a 1&half hours wait before he could serve us, odd as weren't many people there, husband's birthday, & were dressed nice, so we went across the road to lovely refurb. hotel & had eye fillet steak. Ate there 2 nights. Didn't book "our" hotel restaurant again. Shame, road noise through our balcony door, not double glazed. Would stay again, but get "back" room.

Staff were lovely and even though they had a function that day which used up all their produce to do my welcome drink and berries they went one step more to give me a cheese platter to apologise for the late arrival. In room dining was superb with the nicest guy delivering to your door. Wish I had a view but next time I’ll book earlier as it’s on the river so I bet that side looks amazing. Will definitely be back. To the girl with blue hair, thank you for putting up with my grumpy mood yesterday after several days travelling for work you were so sweet and I couldn’t thank you more for your patience and assistance.

Check in was a little underwhelming, 2 staff sitting down below a counter and seemed to struggle to lift their heads to acknowledge that I was standing at reception. The room was excellent and thanks to the staff that clean the room, it was very clean, a little old and dated but beautifully clean and totally comfortable. There is not a toaster in the room, but lots of other cooking options and pots and pans. Bed was very comfortable and room, quiet and lovely peaceful view over the river.

Please acknowledge people when they arrive at reception, and it would have been very nice if information was given so I did not have to ask questions to get information that should have been provided like parking, lift and room access. We are still not sure if the restaurant was open or where it actually was.

Beautiful restaurant, amazing staff, and fabulous cocktails. The motel was comfortable and suited our needs for our 1 night stay. 🌙 Peaceful rooms that were blackened out, and a bed that was comfortable. Clean, comfortable and spacious enough for our work/ leisure. Thanks for a great night away from the daily grind. Will visit again!

location is great and the attached restaurant offers a super breakfast with views over the river

when booking it doesn't tell you that the restaurant and bar don't open on a Sunday and when you have been traveling a long way it was very disappointing to discover that you had to walk around town to find something to eat! a simple note on the booking stating restaurant huts would solve the issue

Our room was comfortable and clean but I think next time I will get a room with a balcony, to be able to really enjoy the views of the river/sunrise/sunset. H2O restaurant next door was wonderful for dinner and breakfast- overlooking the river - would be much better in summer with the blinds up but it was still lovely

Spacious room and bed for a couple, close to all facilities. Would recommend to friends & family.

It was annoying having to log into the TV every time we used it and not all the apps worked even though we held accounts for them. The staircase in our room was very loud and squeaky when moving up and down the stairs.

Clean, comfortable, kitchenette/fridge/microwave was very handy for a big family like us. Good location

Our rooms was not facing the river (will request next time), so the view was underwhelming. One of our rooms was not cleaned/linen changed on the second day. And no toaster in the room (was told it sets off the alarm). Otherwise, it was a nice stay.

The view of the river was lovely. The staff are friendly and efficient. Good to have safe, onsite parking. Great to have a kettle and small milk in the room at no additional charge.

As our pillows were a bit too big, having a range of pillows to select from could improve the comfort of the bed.
